Such a coincidence that I was just watching stuff about the war and there was never seen before COLOR film footage of exactly where you were. Those tunnels were much darker with the limited resources they had back then. Super interesting, really gets you thinking.

YOOOOOO I've wanted to see those tunnels since I was a kid. Even though there was all the other really cool stuff in there, the coolest thing in my opinion was the fact that that plant was growing in front of that lamp. Hope you guys are enjoying your vacation.

I took field trips to the tunnels as a kid when we lived there.

So cool those tunnels were really eerie that pretty neat. My wife is from Vietnam so we seen the CU CHI Tunnels over there it was pretty intense! :) great video :)

Those tunnels were used for the same thing the tunnels on Guadalcanal and Iwo jima were used for. Okinawa wasn't about a last stand either. By that point in the war it was only about slowing down the US Navy on its march to the Japanese mainland. The soldiers on Okinawa and Iwo jima were incredibly brave and knew they were there simply to die in defense of Japan.
