@Lowysfishing mate you know your stuff like I said it's a credit to you. I hope to get back your way soon and hopefully mate you.... Which tide do you find works the best and do you drift most of the time then spot lock when you get fish or do you spotlock an area and move accordingly.
@Lowysfishing11 ай бұрын
@@regkershaw i think each system works differently on the tides mate. So hard to have a favourite tide etc depends on too many variables i think. Time out there fishing i guess is always the best way to grind out the patterns of each new area. Something i think we all wish we had more of mate free time 🤣

Its an amazing waterway. I`ve taken the family on houseboat holidays a few times on the Hawkesbury and its so peaceful and relaxing. Its like you are miles away from civilisation. We were on the water when 9/11 happened and we didn`t have a clue about the whole incident until we came back to base. Well worth the effort to take a holiday on the Hawkesbury. Would be very good therapy if the missus was recovering.

It was awesome Ray i really enjoyed it. I looked around cowan creek an it was glassed out. A houseboat trip would b a good time thats forsure. Relaxing an plenty of fishing to be done.

The flathead were great. Unfortunately the jewie was a fake vid. I've caught a jewie that size and it put up a lot more fight than that one.
@LowysfishingАй бұрын
Glad u like the flatty but not sure what u mean by fake vid ? An ive caught literally hundreds of jewfish an they all fight differently. An that jewy was maybe 95-100 cm so not a real big one by any means. Anyway would love to hear what u mean about fake vid if u can clarify ?

We all appreciate you returning fish and not taking everything you catch as certain people do. However I for one would like to see you pay a bit more respect to the fish when you return them to the water. Lift them gently over the gunwale and slip the fish into the water rather than ‘launching’ them like torpedoes. This method can stun a fish and cause it physical damage. Thanks for your vids though Lowy. Might see you on The Mighty Hawkesbury one day. R
@Lowysfishing5 ай бұрын
I have found it the best way to get oxygen back into them, instead of swimming them back and forth like alot of ppl do. How many fish have u seen revived by swimming them backwards ? Ever caught 1 tail hooked ? Almost dead by the time u land them mate. Iv landed an released hundreds of jewys the same way with no fish floating back up. More damage is surely caused by dragging them backwards and fowards repeatedly? Trust me if it didnt work i wouldnt do it, as i like the fish being in good health upon release. Appreciate the input but mate no dramas at all. Hope your catching some out there 👍🏻
