I live in a rural area of my country and sometimes while I'm driving around I happen to see abandoned buildings in various stages of decay. It's interesting to see how nature slowli reclaims its land over the years.

Do you bake clay before doing the sculpture or after

Where do you use the cerit? Is that the white base? And where do you find yourself finding the regular polymer clay more useful and the soft polymer clay more useful? Like which instances do you use what?

Stephanie, firstly, I want to say that I admire your artwork, your style, and your philosophy. I greatly appreciate your videos on KZfaq! On the subject of nature though, and the claim that nature perfectly recycles materials, well... it's not really true. Nature is just indifferent; it does what it does without thought. It's a myriad of random processes, and nature's recycling is haphazard, incomplete and often dangerous. For example, our natural world regularly spews toxic chemicals in to the atmosphere (volcanic eruptions and flows), creatives massive destruction that destroys entire ecosystems (fires, floods, typhoons) and, disturbingly regularly, destroys entire species (99% of all species that have ever existed, are extinct, and were extinct before mankind invented the wheel). In short, the natural world is an incredibly dangerous place; we live on a ball of molten iron, after all, surrounded by the vacuum of space. If we travel 5 kilometres up or down, without protection, we will die. That we have evolved to exist within a tiny ecosphere says something about how precious and fragile our life is. We should treat nature with respect, but also caution: nature is not on our side. Regards.
