Behind the Scenes: Knitting Book Photoshoot in Portugal
I'm so excited to invite you behind the scenes as I work on taking photos for my upcoming knitting book that will be published Autumn 2022 in both English and Finnish.
And yup, I dragged 23 kg of handmade knits and yarns in my suitcase from Finland to Portugal, I've got no idea how I'm going to get all of it with me back home again! :D
In this video I'm also sharing some easy photo tips of how to take good photos of your handmade knits, I hope you find them valuable and enjoy this video :)

I'm so glad to hear that :)) And thank you so much for follwing along for such a long time, I really appreciate it and your kind words. It was so funny, I had dinner with some good friends a few weeks ago, and we were talking about life and I just realised that it's taken me 5 years of having the Kutovakika to somehow finally fully find what my true "calling" or whatever you want to call it. Every step along the way has been valuable, but now it really feels the pieces of the puzzle start to make sense :)

Loved this view into your journey! Can't wait for you to publish the book so we can get started! 😊 I just traveled from Chicago to Germany and since I went yarn shopping like crazy I also used the vacuum bags - genius! Can only recommend for everyone that wants to take lots of yarn and doesn't want the yarn to get stuck in the zipper 🙈😆

Hi, so nice to hear how you lought:) Today I received invite for tests, but unfurtinatly this is a bad time. I am too worried Here in Latvia, about all istuation with "puding". So, I just said to myself, there will be next time! But knitting so good to forgot stress.....and soooooo coool to have a house in Portugal! today my doughter asked me, where I would love to travel! And this was a country what I mentioned.

Hey, what company did you use to fly, that they allowed needles on board? I've been always told that it's considered a potential weapon and therefore prohibited for hand luggage (just had the last of these incidents a month ago with Lufthansa). We live in Africa and knitting would be such a help on long flights! Love all your videos and knits and looking forward to seeing your book, it's surely gonna be amazing!

Hi Ally! Ah I flew SAS, but I always bring wooden needles and usually circualr ones and haven't had troubles with those flying Norwegian or Finnair either. So sorry to hear you've had problems with it! I suggest geting wooden circualr needles, at least those have worked for me on flights :) PS. Also sneaky thing I did once was to have double pointed sock needles in a pencil case, I think the pens in it disguised them XD
