I scored a 40, because I didn't study or prepare. I had a successful career in the Coast Guard because I was driven and had work ethic. I also lived by the core values of the United States Coast Guard, in Honor, Respect and Devotion to Duty.

I’m joining the coast guard as well. I’m going to meps soon. I want to be a BM or GM. What if my asvab scores don’t meet the required score for the jobs I want what would happen?

@@CollinRouzer You scored high enough for the CG, BM and GM are easy, your asvab score needs to be high in all categories for aviation rates. Other than that, you can take individual sections of the test for better score thru your units Educational Service Officer.

I’m planning to join the military and I was wondering how long would you want that applicant to study 📖 when it comes to the ASVAB test ? and the military that I’m interested in right now is the NAVY because I wanna do Special Operation/Special Warfare (SEALS) so what you recommend do you recommend that I study for the ASVAB test longer so I can get a good score like a 50 for the job I want in the NAVY which is Special Operation/Special Warfare (SEALS) so what do you suggest I do before coming to MEPS to take the ASVAB exam ?

The ASVAB test is for enrolled just, You don't need to take the asvab to do ROTC in school or turn into an officer. You need to keep a 2.5 GPA amid ROTC.

I took my ASVAB test at the local army reserve training center back in 1983. How things have changed over time. After the test. A lot of the participants bought snacks and drinks from the vending machines. They had coke, candy bars, pastries IE sweet rolls, snails, cookies, cake, bags of chips, pretzels, and nuts.

I use an ASVAB book for dummies. That's what it's literally called, and it is a big book to help me study for the asvab and be prepared.

The ASVAB test is for enlisted only, You do not have to take the asvab to do ROTC in college or become a officer. You have to keep a 2.5 GPA during ROTC.

Yes it is, my neighbors brother was a navy officer and got out recently he commissioned through NROTC. He never had to take the ASVAB Test.

But you need a 110gt score to qualify for ocs? That’s determined by the asvab.

I took my asvab but like my recruiter said I need to do a confirmation test and I’m scared like what if it’s harder then the one I took does anyone have ever taken the confirmation test before

@@barlied4075 idk if you’ve done it yet but it’ll be the same questions that you took on the picat. So answer them the same way you did previously. The only difference is that there are 10 more new questions. As long as you answer how you did on the last one you should be fine.

Maybe instead of worrying about what test score you get, just relax and take the test. And if you can't handle the stress of taking the test, wait until you are in Bootcamp and getting your ass handed to you. But hey, if you can't handle stress, don't take the test, go to college.

I got ASVAB 31 score test from the recruiter it took 2x times to take but the MEPS got 24 scores and they sent me home. now I'm joining the french foreign legion their I.Q test has more logical questions and is based on life experience.

Any time you pick up an ASVAB prep book, concentrate on the math, mechanical, and reading. Anyone / everyone in our economy world today has a job for people who can calculate, think mechanically, and read tech manuals.

I remember taking the asvab real late at meps, so they said we will take the tapas the next day. Never took it at meps. Only took the asvab. So I got off the hook taking the tapas somehow.

Haven't even been to MEPS and I'm pretty nervous about what jobs may be available. I hear that combat related jobs are very hard to qualify for.

The assembling objects is the most easiest section. It’s the math and arithmetic reasoning that’s the hardest. Well I’m horrible at math

Neither did i, you just take one when you get to MEPS. i took a practice one with my recruiter and now he scheduling a date for me to go to MEPS. Probably the 14th or the 18th.

Never back down. You didn’t study enough was the issue. If this is something you really want you’re going to fight for it. Obviously it doesn’t mean anything to you if you’ve given up all hope. Keep trying. Keep studying. And don’t give up man you got this
