Taking "Afternoon Tea" is one of my favourite things to do as a little luxury - and this restaurant looks lovely and full of character - and the menu looks pretty nice as well. Vancouver's already on the 'one day I'll get to visit' list, so I guess taking a helicopter across to get cute finger sandwiches is now on the list as well. As an aside - was this maybe filmed in November? ;|D

Traditionally high tea was a Scottish early dinner. Served between 4 and 6 and with bread, a cooked substantial meal , for example fish and chips and sausages and mashed potatoes, and of course tea and a cake afterwards. This is different to afternoon tea, with is usually cakes and sandwiches and scones. I remember having high tea in the 1970s but never seen it being served since. Hope you enjoyed it. 😄😄

The views between Vancouver and Victoria are very nice. Never used Helijet but took the seaplane instead.

High tea looks great and the venue - wow! Reminded me of an old mansion in Hobart, Tasmania, that was operating as a motel during the 1980's. Stumbled apon your video about taking your mum to Utah. And loved it! Now, just going through all your vids because I want to go across country via train myself. Except from California to New York. I want to do it for 30 days. That way I can get off and take pictures and enjoy the different places in the country. But, I also like you're going to Alaska! Which is a place I want to visit as well. What better place for High Tea than in a Victorian house in Victoria? The helicopter ride looked very smooth. Another commentor noted the ride is $300 each way, a bit steep, but a bargain compared to $700 one way from Manhattan to the Hamptons.

Just flew harbour air doing the same thing and the convenience of fast, downtown to downtown centres of BC is a great option vs the slow, out of city ferries. Great vid as always - keep 'em coming!

Through my travels I’ve taken several helicopters. Two of the most memorable (but definitely NOT cheap) were … (1) on the Hawaiian island of Kauai … which is really the only way to see the Na Pali Coast and considering 3/4 of the island is inaccessible by car. Jet copter with stereo headphones playing Bach sonatas and drop dead gorgeous scenery as you hover over waterfalls and shear mountains/cliffs and (2) the Grand Canyon, Arizona … landed with special permission BELOW the Canyon rim on Native tribal land for a champagne wicker hamper lunch (we didn’t leave so much as a sliver behind as to respect/protect the land). Both were AWESOME and I highly recommended but bring your bank account because neither are cheap. 😉👍🏻

If I come to find out that you're related to the Great Gord Downie. I wouldn't be surprised at all. He was an uplifting figure while also bringing attention to the plight as well as the greater identity of the first Nations people of Canada. It's admirable and generally cool how you've done a lot for them (in the way you go about doing it.)

Flying in a helicopter between cities for high tea has got to be the most bougie thing I've ever seen on this channel.

Here in Cornwall we have a regular helicopter service between Penzance ( as in the pirates of) to the Isles of Scilly almost 30 miles away.

I've flown on a helicopter airline in Nepal before. It was an old Mil Mi8. Extremely loud, very bumpy, and there was all sorts down the middle of the aircraft, including some chickens in a coop. On the return flight, it was a load of oranges.

Much like the seaplane airline in Vancouver, I'm so used to the helicopters downtown that it didn't occur to me that it might be a bit unusual to have an airline like that.

Love Victoria! It is the closest big city to where I live in Port Angeles, WA being only 20 mile ferry ride away across the water. Seattle is 60 miles but a much longer trip involving lots of expensive gas and an expensive ferry.

as a person who loves taking the helijet this video was great, i usually go to Vancouver but i have not yet gone vancouver-victoria, i heard rumours they will be adding a seatlle link and that they are adding an fully electric helicopter

Helijet is a pretty cool operation but if I had the choice I’d take the Harbour Air seaplane service. It’s generally not as expensive (though hardly cheap) and taking off and landing on water is even more fun than rotary wing departure and arrivals. The seaplane base in Victoria is better located too.
