I kind of have a problem with people saying "Maia won the second round". I mean, technically, yes, cause these are the rules, you land on top, you have the control, but here is the question, DID Maia really had control? Valentina pointed something out in a recent Interview with Helwani and I watched that fight again and she is right. She was the one who initiated that takedown, but she tripped and cause Maia is a biffy girl, she landed on top, it was a fluke, not Maias overwhelming technique... and even as she was laying on Valentina like a dead cat for the rest of the round, Valentina was the more active fighte rand punched her constantly from her position, while Maia couldn't throw shit, besides some very small shots. I mean... It's hard to see it as "winning" for Maia, even if its officially true.
