Thank you for posting. For clarification, the length, represented by the arrows on the right side of the fabric, will either be 53cm or 57cm. The width, represented by the arrows at the bottom of the fabric, will be the head circumference minus 2cm. The dash in the description does not translate to minus for some of us. If it read, “-2cm from head circumference” or “Subtract 2cm from head circumference” or “Minus 2cm from head circumference”, I think more of us would understand the pattern. I appreciate your time in preparing and posting this video - looks like a fun project to work on with young or new tailors!

Hi really cute & quick… I’m a dressmaker & think this is an easy project. I look for things for my granddaughter to make. This is great! Thanks Katie P.S. It would be a good idea to say what the project is… saying a cute hat &/ or project that kids might like could encourage more people to watch❤️

the reason being is it's a stretchy material and on a normal sewing machine ( not like the surger she is using) hat most of us have it will get pullled down into the hole unless you have a old machine like my grandmother. the reason being is the old machines only did straight stiches not all the fancy deco sitches that these new ones do. so the hole has to be bigger. on most machines you can buy a plate to cover that big hole, but you have to remember to take it off when doing anything other that straight stiches. i have a really hard time with stretchy material. regardless, but there are a lot of tutorials on how to work with it. but i'm with you when it comes to stretchy stuff my machine rules me, unless i can use a interfacing to stiffen it up. lol

You have totally lost me 🙈 I am not such an experienced sower and where the sides were folded and sewn and folded and turned and sewn and turned and folded... Exct By the end of that I had no cooken clue what must be where and folded against what 🙄🥴😖🤔🤨 maybe it would help if you mark the spikey sides 1234 and the opposite side as well, that the less experienced viewers would be able to keep up and figure that one out please. And maybe just do that part a bit more slower otherwise its very difficult to keep up. Thank you for a great Chanel where I learn a lot👏👌💐

@StitchingUpChaos
@StitchingUpChaos 2 жыл бұрын
Its called an overlocker or a serger. The thread wraps the edges as well. If you look inside a commercially made t-shirt the seams are most likely overlocked. If you get one, get a four thread one instead of a three, they're a lot better.

If you want to see the finished item, just go onto the red line on the bottom of the KZfaq channel and then just move the red line that comes up just above where you can see the project name, speaker, settings, etc and you can move the Settings and move the red line along to the end of the trial, by clicking on the red full circle just above the volume, direction that the video is by looking at the various settings being shown e.g. where the big arrows are being shown, incl. the one showing the backward arrow, then the arrow showing just the arrow with the line beside it pointing to the left because it's showing where the video is going forward, and the next arrow without a line, but pointing forward, then the next arrow with the line beside it pointing to the right with the line beside it, but the arrow is pointing forward ... It's the arrows pointing to the left or right with the red lines beside them that show the direction that the direction of the trial is going. If you move the arrow pointing to the right with the line along it that shows the direction in which you are watching the video. The red line above all of these is the red dot that you need to point to and move to the right if you want to see the ending. However this can't occur if the recording is live, you just have to wait until the end to see the end of the person recording the video is finished making it, which is for Live videos. I hope this helps, if not, just send me a question that you get lost in mt directions as I've tried to break it down so that anyone new to KZfaq can understand it.
