@@trillswae1815 he can play defense and get to the hole whenever he wants basically . Slashing is driving to the rim . He just needs a consistent jump shot and an ability to create and make 3 point shots off the dribble which I see him developing

His two biggest weaknesses are the same things almost everyone in the league gets better at with age, but the things he excells at are super rare and rarely developed. You have it or you don't and this kid has it

Like... compare him to Lonzo. Lonzo came into the league with elite passing, IQ, individual defense, and surprising team defense, but ZERO ability to get to the basket or finish, and about the same jump shooting percentages. The result is lonzo will never be anything other than a transition passer, 3 and D 2 guard. He can't utilize his passing strengths because he can't get past his defender, and he's not a threat on the basket... THT on the other hand is the superior point guard because he completely warps defenses and can deliver basic passes to wide open cutters or shooters or just finish over the help defense with his gorilla arms after putting his defender in jail or just bumping him off. Nobody is helping onto lonzo...

@@thefolliclefight He is only 20 years old and has played two seasons. Everything is "potential" when you are that young. On top of that, he has to play in a very talented team with Lebron and AD. Most rookies wouldn't get off the bench or the D-league if they were picked in the second round. He actually played in the playoffs as a rookie and did well.

@@spproductionsnba I'm a long time Lakers fan (since 1981). I think Lowry is overpriced for his age too. However, we can't depend on Dennis Schroeder as our point guard in the future. There may be other options once free agency starts and teams can trade players. I would love to have Dame, but he is a long shot. His salary would gut our entire team. We won't have any trade pieces that Portland may want. I just don't see the Dame trade happening.

@@ahndeux Drose 👀 last time he was on the court with LeBron it wasn’t pretty, but Rose’s game has altered as the NBA has. He can now catch and shoot the ball at a consistent level from three and defend most point guards (not Trae young though 😬) a hard worker that wouldn’t have a problem with leading a second unit off the bench, (much unlike Schroder) also a very good and willing passer and a GREAT finisher off the dribble. I think he showed the whole NBA what he has left in these playoffs (many clutch buckets leadership and multiple 25+ point performances while finally staying healthy). I wouldn’t expect his on-court chemistry with James to be great, even now, but that wouldn’t be so much of a problem considering Rose would be coming off the bench. And when him and LeBron would share the court it would be in clutch situations, then giving the Lakers the best third option in the entire NBA in clutch situations. Veteran leadership for THT if we keep him (considering Drose is THT’s childhood idol) and any other young players. The best part is that we can get him for cheap (making cap space for more important pieces) and he is HUNGRY for a championship. Add that playmaking and passing to a potential on court partnership with a Buddy Heild pick-up… sheesh that would have me feeling good about our chances. Your thoughts?

He definitely can shoot and can get better at it. It's not like he's a Ben Simmons type, he can even make stepback 3 pointers, he just need to increase his efficiency.
