I honestly love how girls in the talent show will want to show up and do their best to show their whole personality into their number, and then there's one queen who kinda slows down the mood of the room, but everyone feels the emotion being relayed. I guess this was why I, for some reason, got reminded of Trixie's talent show during Maddy Morphosis' solo guitar number in s14

One of my favorite talent show performances of all the Drag Race franchise. I still get chills when I watch/listen to it and it’s one of my most played songs on my library. So underrated.

It’s an Autoharp. A type of zither. She has like 6 of them. Commonly played in folk music

She mentioned that the autoharp required tuning *every time* before using. Making it difficult instrument to use.

@@Blue_Lunacy she travels with them and is using them for shows so it does need to be tuned before shows. But once tuned, it’s actually fairly easy to play

@@MsVitaDNope. The RPDR franchise dodged a bullet by crowning Trixie instead of Shangela. Sure Shangela is talented as a drag queen, but Trixie is a force to be reckoned with outside the competition. Plus Shangela's multiple SA accusation does not help anyone in the drag community, and no one wants that for a crowned queen.

She really does know how to use her voice. She's not the strongest singer in terms of range and stuff like that, but has such a wonderful nuance and sense of emotion and personality. She has a depth and soul fullness that more technical minded singers simply lack.

This song feels so good to listen to because its like a reminder and affirmation that things can and will go south sometimes, but you can always come back from it if you just keep going. Its incredibly folksy and sweet, and I love that it relays what Trixie was feeling at that point and time too. Extremely underrated talent show performance.

@@alexisviens8342 dancing isn’t necessarily related to drag either, especially voguing, I get what you’re saying but to even imply this was the only show that showed an actual talent when Aja’s, Kennedy’s and Shangela’s were right there only bc you don’t see singing related to drag even though there are many drag queen singers. I don’t agree with that. No shade.

I wish there was more appreciation on the show for slower/ lower energy performances like this and Gia. Not everything has to be super high energy, it gets a bit stressful in my opinion.
