Man, the young lad in the Golden bird story was so dumb, I couldn’t fall asleep because of my frustration with him. The fox came in clutch with great advice so many times, but his hay-filled brain couldn’t follow any of them 😭

Hope you are starting to feel better. The best thing for when you are sick is to drink lots of hot water, this breaks down the stuff in your throat, so you don't cough as much, and hopefully avoid the worst part of the post sickness sore throat. Rest well and thank you for listening.

Does the word "grim" come from the name of Grimm? Or is the association a coincidence?

From what I know it is essentially the same thing, just the German variant. It is indeed a coincidence that the stories have a "grim" nature, but maybe that is just the nature of 19th century Germany in general.
