As Velvet said. “Dogs don’t betray you”. You can trust always dog over anything else. Even over your own human peers, since a dog never lies. On top of that, they are very loving. You can even trust them to watch your children. Cats are nice and all, but when push comes to shove, they won’t hesitate to turn away from ya.

Cats are the tsundere of the animal kingdom; they will love you and adore you, but it may not seem it most of the time. You also don't have to walk them, they know to go on their own and where to go independently.

Yeah, I love cats too. Dogs are too in your face and dependent, but cats are more independent and I feel more comfortable around cats.

If you had to ask me the side I'm on, it's dogs. They're always so energetic and playful, and they always look like they smile. Plus, you'll never see a happier animal than a dog when you finally come home

Nah, Velvet just can't ever be honest about her feelings. She likes dogs because Niko liked dogs. Contrary to her constant saying of how she discarded her attachments besides her revenge and anger, she has a lot of baggage and can't forgive herself for killing her best friend. Heck, her big game-long side-story ends up being her quest to finally be able to bake Niko's special quiche.

Yes he was. In general Eizen just likes everything that reminds him of Edna (hence why he chose cats as well, not because they are proud and independent, but because they remind him of Edna).

Me too. Cats know when to give you space, and are much quieter unless they need something, but they're just as loyal as dogs. Dogs are too hyperactive and in your face to keep up.
