Tbh it depends on the game they meet in. If they met in berseria’s world they’d be enemies at first, but sorey would eventually join velvet similar to Eleanor. If they met in zestirias world sorey would just kill velvet.

Anime isn’t canon (well at least according to the crossovers), unfortunately Sorey doesn’t know about Velvet

She's a powerhouse, yeah. But Sorey wasn't fighting with his all here either. The only way to know for sure who'd win is to have them both fight seriously at full power. And that will probably never happen since, well, as we saw in the video, they both get along pretty well. I wonder what would've happened in the story of Berseria if Artorious had Sorey's outlook in life and moral compass.

It depends on how you read it really, for the most part Velvet act more like mother or big sister to Phi Some people think Sorey and Mikleo are gays but others say they are not If you don't look to deep to it it won't bother you

The problem is that you have to block out the writer's intentions themselves. Phi has romantic feelings for Velvet, that is a Berseria fact. Velvet never reciprocates the feelings in either of the games but the writer never hides the incestual overtone. All the writer does is try to gloss it over by saying that reincarnated Malahkim are new beings so they are technically not who they were and then they screw themselves by making a whole optional event where Phi acknowledged himself as Velvet's nephew (yet still keeps crushing over her like a teenager). The Mikleo and Sorey situation is a little blurry due to the fact they are basically destined partners in many ways. Mikleo was turned into a Seraphim partly to be Sorey's partner (as Zestiria explains). This can have many implications,from the platonic eternal best friends to the more romantic ones. The fact the trademark "eve of final battle" scene was between Sorey and Mikleo obviously blurs the line more since those scenes tend to be between the official romantic pairings.

Ludger and Elle was well written in a way that it was extremely clear she was meant to be treated as his surrogate daughter. She attaches to Ludger because he reminds her of her own father (no surprises there) and Ludger's reciprocates the same way. I liked it honestly. I won't get into the Sorey bit since I can tell where you fallin that camp, although just saying you can't hate on the other camp just because it's blurry. The fact the relationship isn't firmly in the platonic side means the writer doesn't exactly minds the BL campo (in fact I think the Tales team even encourages it in some side-materials). As again the original comment, you merely confirmed exactly why I hate the way they ended up treating the relatiuonship between Phi and Velvet by the end. Even if one-sided the incestual crush is there and even acknowledged by the writer as a key motivation for Phi's character growth. Velvet's feelings are besides the point (and we may not even want to know Velvet's real feelings considering her whole life before the events at the start of the game consisted entirely of fawning over her little brother and crushing about how awesome her sister's husband was).

LeonGun8 again I am trying to say they usually try to cover over romances with others pairs such as Sorey/Mikleo and Velvet/Phi because they suck at writing straight romances IMO I won't lie I am not into this whole gay thing but some people like it and it bring namco money so I can't complain really and people are free to like what they want, Namco are just taking advantage of situation and try to make money from the fujos I agree phi feelings is not needed but the whole relationship is treated ad brother-sister type of deal and his crush on her didn't go anyway in the end do no reason to be bothered by it

Play Berseria, its absolutely incredible. You are doing yourself a disservice by not. Not even close, lets just say we are talking about malevolence that dwarfs Heldalf. Sorey wouldn't be able to rely on a friend sacrificing gun gimmick with Velvet.

The fact that Sorey can't purify Velvet's weaker past version says a lot about Velvet's strength. She is insanely powerful. I can go all spoiler mode on you but let's just say she's a part of something that is well beyond Sorey's or any Shepherd's capabilities. Also I haven't drawn the comparison between Lightning and Velvet... but I can see where you are coming from.
