My favourite segment was "Evies beta rundown" i esp liked when Evi said "LETS RUNDOWN!" it really spoke to me on an emotional lvl

M+ changes are cool because now top end players will be able to have consistency, while the rest of us get to have fun with the rest of the good affixes.

The login screen, which I agree isn't thrilling, is the MOST first World (of Warcraft) problem I have heard with this game. We are going to barely see it. Remember that time when Shadowlands was a thing.....

Those M+ changes will bring stability and predictability to high keys, amazing. No more dead weeks, and mental health support groups for our healers!

My biggest takeaway from the log-in screen discourse is finding out that other people are still "logging in". I-- am I weird that I let BattleNet do it for me? I only see the log-in screen for the duration of the "fetching server lists" message, which isn't even long enough for Alexstrasza to land on the pillar in the distance; when there's server issues; or when I've been nerd-logged for being afk... which means that I basically associate seeing Alexstrasza with downtime rather than the start of my adventure. I don't even remember the Legion or BFA, and while I recognise Shadowlands - I didn't realize it was the log-in artwork and I only recognized it a promotional image. For me, it's all about the loading screen art - like the artwork with the Aspects and the Eternals, or the shot with the Drust guy leering from the side of the screen. Make *those* animated! I do think your speculation is correct though. It does looks like art that is intended to evolve. I hope for everyone else's sake that it evolves more quickly than per-expansion based on how everyone else is reacting.

We see the login screen for like 5 sec per gameplay session, since you log in from the launcher, not from the game client directly anymore. Spending all kinds of time on a fancy login screen nobody will ever spend any time looking at is a total waste of time.

I think we as a community get a bit of information like the log in screen and we just need to let it cook and see how it plays out before we get to upset about what it looks like. It could play out completely different from what we see.

The world map they went for really is kinda sad. Would've been so cool to actually see the zones vertically stacked on top of each other in a stylized way. I guess kinda like that transition screen map you get in Hades for example.

Gotta say though, that login screen is much easier on the eyes than the flashbang that is the Final Fantasy 14 Dawntrail login screen.

If one of the biggest complaints about The War Within beta is the login screen, I think we are in for a pretty solid expansion.

Wouldnt be surprised if this login screen evolves every expansion in the World Soul saga, or even every major patch.

So, I log in via battle net and instantly move past this, I haven't even thought about a login screen for like a decade. The fact that people are losing their minds is predictable though because people on the forums live to be angry at all times.

Ultimately the login screen is not something we see very often anymore so maybe they just decided not to spend a lot of time on it. Or this could even be step 1 towards removing that concept entirely, i.e. maybe one day you'll login from the battlenet launcher or not at all.

Yeah the Dragon Flight orders system is the ONLY reason why i for once havn't maxed out a single crafting profession.

Nah, the new Warband screen is the new login screen. Logging in is like 95% automatic so the only time you'll see it is if a. you're in a queue/waiting for servers to come up after maintenance, you get disconnected or c. your PC is *really* slow. Also, the new affix system is AWESOME. Low keys get some mix-ups to keep things interesting for lower tiers of play and high tiers are just 100% consistent for diving in to playing without having to deal with any kind of changes.

The affixes were there thing that discouraged me from doing m+ so perhaps with this change maybe I will be incentivised to do them and not drop the game after few months

I am hoping that login screen is going to act like a gate or sliding door, revealing the actual log in screen on launch day.

Sure, the login screen is kinda boring, but there is never any need to look at it anymore, is there? Back when we had the awesome Sindragosa one, we were indeed looking at it. Nowadays we click PLAY on the launcher and the game zooms past the login screen.. Id rather they spend their good resources on other things :D

I think a lot of people didnt notice the balls xalatath summons don't HAVE to be cc/kick/knockback. You can run through them. So if you have a melee or a warlock or hunter near em they can just run through em all, they dont take damage, just need speed.

imo +7 affix is also targeting the death skips. usual 20 second loss or affixed 1 minute loss matters a lot to many grps and will cause special pathing just for these

In DF if you did anything other than crafting from day one in the expansion, a monopoly had already formed in every crafting profession, due to people only wanting rank 5 gear. Only the people that got that ability first got business, meaning you'd have to pay hundreds of thousands in gold just to rank up to have a chance at competing. This is an amazing change, and has me actually interested in returning. No, players don't want to create gear solely for npcs.. Yes, they want an opportunity to compete.

The login screen is one of those details that technically is irrelevant but in practical are so important because of how many iconic ones we had in the past. No matter you are only going to look at it for a second before getting into the game because you will log in reminded by how underwhelming it is.

Done correctly, ANY character on your PC thats done XYZ quests should unlock details on the login..... It'd need to be locally stored though as it has to change based on what your account has done!

I do think the bargain affixes would be just the two. It seemed like these were just the ones being tested right now. My guess would be around 6 affixed that rotate once TWW is out.

as someone who previously struggled to log on during Wrath due to Sindragosa, i'm fine with the underwhelming login screen, that being said there's a chance that this screen will evolve during TWW and possibly even throughout the Worldsoul Saga, so i dont think that we should get hung up about this screen for long,

holy crap, they actually took my advice from the forums and changed the affixes in the way I wrote x) The only thing that's not as nice is the key level squish... I'd rather have 100 keys levels than 12... That way the performance would be much more pronouced... Now jumping a key from 7-8 will just feel like such a huuuuge jump.

I am also not a fan of the map, they should've just stacked the zones in an artsy way. Theres no need to actually see the whole zone in this view anyways. We know they can do fun, quirky maps since the Dawn of the Infinite (although that one did a terrible job at being a MAP). Just have a stylized coreway connect all three zones layered ontop of each other and it would be fine. It really just needs to look cool and enable you to click on the individual zone maps where you actually need to look for details

Well ive seen people get 2k rating in M+ in the first week, i dont really think anything will be cut shorter than it already is....maybe for people who struggle a lot or have weaker nonmeta classes but there really wasnt any shitty week if you played just for that 2k+ rating. Pushers wont stop pushing anyway

I have no idea why anyone cares about the login screen. Yeah, back in Wrath and Cata you probably sat on it more waiting for downloads or queues, and the music is excellent. But I've never seen the Dragonflight login screen for more than 5 seconds at once. I don't even remember the Shadowlands, Battle for Azeroth, Legion, or Warlords of Draenor logins screens (though the latter was probably one of the Dark Portal images). The login screen is nostalgic for the early game, but it's irrelevant now.

Keys above +12 are not "top level player keys", and that's when we have "no affixes", I feel like they should remove the xalatath affix at 15 or so not 12 ... unless blizzard's intent is to squish the level of keys everyone is doing, with the new +12 20% dmg increase to everything, it might just lower the highest level key we can do, in which case maybe it'll be fine. As someone who primarily has done keys above 12 this season and doesn't really go much lower, I would not be experiencing the seasonal affix much at all, and I kind of want to.

Man the title screen thing isn't the WORST THING EVER but just feels like such a miss! Epic expansions defining title screens are such a STAPLE for all wow players. Dragonflights wasn't crazy but to be honest I came to love it in the end. That pure epic fantasy feeling is just gone. Here's to hoping this one changes over time!

Ya lets not make a bunch of fuss over a nothing like a login if it means they can spend more time on gameplay mechanics and open world bore like world quests. Example of how youtuber/streamer influence diverts developers from the silent majority
