Oui, j'ai toujours admiré le génie d'écriture de MARK HOLLIS 💡 anglais timide et perfectionniste né en 1955. Et muet lors des interviews. Une playlist rare lui est dédié... Dès 1981, c'était difficile en France d'acheter leur premier album THE PARTY IS OVER à la rythmique déjantée , aux paroles déjà graves et poétiques ou sur la haine inepte, de la New Wave inégalable avant leur avènement lors de la sortie de IT S MY LIFE remixé à gogo, suivi par une mouvance plus douce et introspective HAPPINESS IS EASY où MARK murmurait plus souvent. En 1986, je les ai vus en concert à MULHOUSE 35 km de chez moi pour 1h30 de liesse et de larmes 💦 quasi sans synthé ...après la sortie de leur 3ème album. Voix mélodieuse, enveloppante, puissante, expressive, Mark lunettes noires, en chemise froissée, agrippé au micro nous envoûta. 🎉❤ Bravo à Paul Webb, bassiste émérite et Lee Harris batteur torse nu extraordinaire. Puis 2 albums à mouvance post rock typé musique de chambre où MARK ne fut plus compris. A 35 ans, j'ai enfin décortiqué les 2 derniers albums et des inédits grandioses où le silence rythme l'absence, le recueillement. D'ailleurs le chanteur THOM YORK des RADIOHEAD s'est inspiré largement de MARK pour injecter un son nouveau dans ses albums ... Amitiés aux admirateurs des TALK TALK.❤😊

Mon seul regret sera de ne l’avoir jamais vue ´concert et impossible de trouver des dvd de concerts alors je me contente des playlist de you tube j’aimerais tellement pouvoir en voir c autres …merci pour votre analyse très juste de ce qu’il était . Jack, en retard pour la bonne cause...je pourrais écrire des heures sur Mark, sa philosophie, ses copycats ouh les vilains 10 à 20 ans après et sa poésie métaphysique où l'anglais universitaire est parfois insuffisant pour le décoder car c était un medium au final. Sa fin de vie loin de la foule avec l'unique femme de sa vie. 😍 👩 Pour les vidéos officielles décalées comme cet homme sauvage, elles se trouvent dans la bibliothèque. Quant à ma playlist, j'ai assisté au même concert post album numéro 3 toute à la fin , des musiciens parfaits car Mark était exigeant. Les tubes en dernier bien sûr. The best innovative years👍 were the 70ies ( disco, funky waves) , 💡first keyboards, then the roaring 80ies wow so many extraordinary bands , few have survived (Pet Shop Boys, Erasure, DM, Soft Cell then Mark Almond, The Cure, U2...) I regret OMD, The Human League, Spandau Ballet, Eurythmics, Yazoo.... This musical channel surveys all the best tendencies to me since the 60ies ...hating 🤖 AI ,copycats ...
