I am sad, 64, this is the age you should play and hug your grandchildren. Sit down on the front porch, have a look at this wonderful nature and trees, have a good drink and a cigar, if you like. It is time to relax and think back on your own life. The British music was always pointing the way and absolutely new, since the sixties. I am sad, your band gives me hymn of the 80ies, I always remember. I am sad Mark. Farewell.

It hurt me too. However, Mark left a musical legacy too superior to not be thankful for the time that he was here. I remember him from 1981.

Que n'aurait on pas eu encore de plus beau à écouter ? Maintenant Mark tu es partis, et ils ne nous restent plus qu'à écouter tes oeuvres jusqu'à plus soif. Luckily for me I saw this WONDERFUL band twice in 1986. Fabulous gigs in Bradford and Leeds. Great songs that sound just as good,if not better,35 years later.

i have loved there music since Talk talk single, i still suprise myself that all these years on it still sounds as fresh and unique. The arrangements are brilliant, marks vocals amazing, Mark Hollis solo album is very different and very mesmerising

Agree with you about his last almost recent solo album. Ive read all his interviews along his lifespan, and biographies, a genius, philosopher, metaphysicist, poet. Atemporal like his heavenly voice.

I listen and listen, all over and over again to Talk Talk and Mark Hollis solo stuff and can`t put in words, how thankful I am for that music. And eventhough I never can see them live, I can use youtube or my Talk Talk CD-s to enjoy them :)

Yep, here i am, mid forty, keep coming back to songs i can relate to, to bands like talk talk with real and true music. This is one song that will always be with me. Love it. This is in no comparison with todays sh#t. I hate those to optimistic, made up, feel good sh#t.

That's not true at all. There are amazing muscians of today to discover, but you lost likely won't hear them on the radio, let alone see them on TV. Either way though, Talk Talk were indeed absolutely unique and their last 2 albums are among of the best albums ever recorded.

To think I was (and still am) a Talk Talk fan. At the time I live about a few hundred meters away from the Ahoy were this was going on. I couldn’t go because I had no money 😢 Luckily I did see them in 1986 at the Torhout festival 😅

Had the cassette probably in in '83; going to school, living @ my coach's parents' house, made the move to Utah, had to be with my girl. Rene, Caroline knows, etc... no air conditioning, not Mormon but she was. Made it back to the valley

Amazing how much they improved this song when they went into the "Colour of Spring" style and dumped that synthpop pidgeonhole. I liked the original, but this is f'ing GREAT.
