I am trying to get a motion detector that is connected to the arduino to send a notification to my android phone with the use of the app inventor. I can only find ways to send info from the phone to the arduino but can't find information about how to get notifications from the arduino. If anyone could help that would be great. Thanks.

Someone likely used App Inventor to author some form of virus/malware (most likely simple malware). An anti virus vendor obtained a sample of the malware and looked for a string to identify it. Unfortunately they selected a bit string from some common component that appears in *every* App Inventor created app, including the Companion. So now that anti-virus company is marking *all* App Inventor created apps as viruses/malware.
