Awesome as always. Lukather is definitely one of the most versatile players ever. In my opinion still highly underrated and I'm willing to bet a lot of solos that he did for others most people don't know it's him.

First time here - the song got me here - I come from the other side of the world (Malta in the Mediterranean), and this album is one of my all time favourites.

What a great solo and commentary on the original Tubes song. I remember back in the early 80s, my dad, a huge audiophile (mostly a classical music lover, but he did play a lot of Mike Oldfield on occasion), was also an early adopter of exciting new audio-visual technology. I remember we were the first people I ever knew of who had a surround sound stereo system. Anyway, my dad had bought one of the earliest models of Pioneer Laserdisc players, and at the time selection of laserdiscs was very limited. One of the things he bought was an entire Tubes laserdisc of all of the music videos (or most of them), that were produced to accompany this album. We watched the HELL out of that disc back then and thoroughly enjoyed it. As I grew older my tastes started to run a lot more towards punk and The Tubes became a bit of a guilty pleasure. Still, ya gotta appreciate some amazing guitar playing when you hear it and that solo certainly fits the (Way)bill (HA! See what I did there?!) By the way, found this video via your post on r/Guitar - I'm just beginning to learn guitar and I don't even pretend to know all the lingo or concepts, but if every video you do is this enjoyable from the standpoint of seeing the solos being played and then such a great history/commentary on the music, well, I'm all in! Thanks for sharing!
