Yes but there is a risk on diving for the gap. The car you are passing must know you are there and he must give you room or it will not be successful. When he took the inside at turn 1 lap 1, Kimi knew he was there, but the guy outside of Kimi did not. Max's race-craft is top notch, his maturity isn't. This move would have been understandable at a track like Monaco, but not at SPA. On the other hand racing for Red Bull he is placed under a lot of pressure. (this is an understatement) It will push him to make more mistakes. So far Max is being out performed by his team mate.

This caused Max to squeeze more and making the turn impossible for him. Hamilton did not have to turn in at the last moment when Max slided by. Both were responsable.
