A lot of people are sceptical about sleep talking and whether or not Ryan is faking it (except in pranks like this) but sleep talking, or somniloquy, is a real thing. It's a form of parasomnia and can consist of single words, complete gibberish or even complex interactive monologues. My sister took a video of myself sleep talking in which I was quite clearly ranting about power and world domination but the police and governments couldn't do anything to stop me because I had diplomatic immunity. It was pretty funny but quite embarrassing at the same time.
