As a russian person, who played yba and was a big fan of the game, i can tell you, in russia the jjba fanbase is REALLY big so thats why so many of us are playing yba, idk why cuz it became just another “meh” jojo game.

Yba right now is just focusing on big graphics and doesn't give a damn about balance or the community, and I dont think it can recover. It's nice to see that you are back :)

Also maybe for a video idea what kind of changes you would want to see that fix the spec reworks besides just doing a 180 and reversing them to the old ones, cause it's clear they WON'T do that.

From stone free onward, every reworked ability has had THAT ONE MOVE in their kit which would lead to 100+ dmg auto combos. I'm talking about moves like yo angelo, fossilization, vaporization freeze counter, etc. Those moves lock you in place and you're literally HELPLESS. And the cherry on top here are the reworked specs too. We have come to a point where 90% of the ability's combo potential is solely based on spec moves. The game is a literal clusterfuck of braindead spamming and auto combos.

old pluck had 6 moves but it was way more simple than the new pluck, plus old pluck didn’t have to go along with stands that have 300 moves

@Gagesupersonic Hello me again here to crawl out of hiding for my comment. I've always been in the camp that more moves on stands, which a lot of people say is what ruined the game, is actually a good thing. I think the mistake is they made is *what* moves they added. Part of the fun of YBA was using your moves in the most creative ways possible. Time Erase on KC for example can be used in a million different ways. Even today people find new ways to use the Pilot ability. Even some newer stands like S&W has the bubble wall which I've already seen been used really creatively. But the problem is not the amount of moves. If anything, more moves increases the skill ceiling and more combat variation. The problem is the moves they are adding are always high damage combo extenders with low cooldown. SM and the spec reworks are by far the worst example of this trend. SM has SEVERAL combo extenders. Hamon has Zoom, Silver. Vamp has a freeze counter, a dash that confirms into laser eyes, and a zombie minion that is functionally a zoom punch equivalent. And they KNOW it was a problem because Uzu joked about giving Sticky Fingers 6 combo moves. So yes, TL;DR: More moves can increase the skill ceiling and be beneficial, but they made the critical mistake of making way too many moves combo extenders with little to no utility or creative use behind them.

YBA has this thing that it was extremely promissing, had a painful death and somehow ressurected just to die on a hole again. It had an extremely good shot of doing the wrongs right on the new map came on and they just messed it up beyond belief. The new stands are shit, they're flashy and somewhat cool but the coolest part about the game was the sheer variety of combos you could do with stands + specs. The movesets were concise so they could work with each other but now you literally have not enough keys on the keyboard to map pluck + whatever new stand or hamon + any new stand. That kinda killed a lot of the charm of the game when it came to combat, you simply have to choose using a spec or a stand. At this point ABD and AUT, two particularly dead games at this point, have better chances of actually improving on their bullshit considering the teams still care a little bit, while YBA doesn't really need to fix itself because if it fixes itself it's gonna just shoot it's audience of 6 year olds on the feet. YBA isn't dead as in "the game hasn't gotten Updates!??1!1!1" like it was before, it's dead as in "every single step they made since september 2022 was absolutely shit and they can't go back".

There was actually 6 moves for old pluck but they were balanced bec all of them were atleast blockable but pierce slice (thrust, triple pierce strike, crecent slash, aerial slice, instant slash)

yeah they ruined the game, now you have to memorize a crazy fucking catalog of new moves to do anything competitive, the old yba gave you some basic mechanics and had you get creative and think ahead, now it's just a clusterfuck of VFX porn and 3 cutscene moves a stand for the toddlers to drool at

Yba is ass. I've been away from Roblox for about a month now and I feel fine. There's too many problems with the game and the community for me to ever come back any time soon. Gage, if you plan on switching games but still want to stay on Roblox I suggest trying That crazy adventure if you haven't already. I played it for a week before I left Roblox and it felt like a breath of fresh air. I also hear that the game god a combat rework and a new stand recently if you needed more persuading.

Paragon's entirely right to not give you a platform. You genuinely told him and said with your chest, that almost a year of work should go because a people don't like the spec reworks. Did it not occur to you once that instead of selfishly asking if his work could be scrapped, both old specs and new spec could be in the game at the same time. Would appeal to people who like like spec reworks, and people who like the old specs. If you look at the comments in the video, there are a lot of people that state that they don't like to be playing a "Piano" while they're playing the game and I agree fully. The issue isn't the new stuff in the game, broken things existed before. In fact MR hasn't changed since its rework, except for a buff to burn damage, and it still has a frame-one stun. that lets it get a 50% combo at the minimum. You do a red bind combo twice and you get a kill. Mind you it has a 20 second cooldown. WS, HG, SC, Anubis, all have 50%+ true autocombos. You don't even need any spec moves to 70% with Anubis, just god of death, T + X.
