I always told my daughter , when she was a baby, to tell me a baby story. She would coo and gurgle and laugh. Those days end too soon. My baby is 50 now.

Its so important what she is doing with baby. Normal conversation not baby talk, will yield good results. Many parents leave their kids in front of loud TV. Good job mom!

@@Gaumukh Yep. And that's really sad. I'm 14 years old, and my mother really cared about me and played with me every time i wanted to play. Even if i needed to learn to do some thing by myself really fast, she loved me! And i love her.

That’s how we talked with our kids: listen to baby vocalize, respond and back and forth. It’s great for their speech development.

It’s no wonder he’s a happy baby. His mom is magic! She talks with him. One day, soon, he will talk back in words she understands, and Mom’s eyes will suddenly grow too large for her head. That will be her reward for being so good at her job! What a wonderful pair.

Ha ha, before I had children, I thought it was silly when ppl said talked. When I had my babies, I knew it was true! We just didn't always know what they were saying, lol. I could listen to my babies coo and talk all day.

Spent many years taking care of infants. The way she is speaking with him exactly as I did. Every child became an excellent conversationalist. Several have become public speakers. Every time I see them on television I am so proud.

@@happyface9000 , right... babies are inherently adorable. It is a survival method that is nature driven. While she is totally absorbed with this infant , the older child is absolutely ignored. This poor child could develop resentments toward this sibling and maybe his mother for shutting him out. Mom could go do other mom things and let this older sibling fall in love with the baby, by talking to him and sharing a special moment.

How sweet! I remember when my sons were this age and would “talk” to me like that. They are all grown now, time goes by soooo fast. How I wish I could turn back time to the days they were all babies again! The bond between a mother and her baby is so very special.

Thank you for being so gentle and kind with your baby. Because of it, he trusts you completely. Some of the videos I see with parents and babies need to be used to convict them of child abuse. Yours is a delight.

I remember doing this with my son. When it was time to wash dishes or vacuum etc I would place him on the floor/baby blanket in front of a large wall mirror and he would have a conversation with himself talking and laughing. Definitely way better than in front of a TV.

I get choked up when I see mommy and baby together, my son is now 30 and I want to know where time went? He used to crawl up into my lap, I remember he and I sitting and having breakfast together and he trying so hard to say mama at 4 months. I want that time back I want to relive every single moment as if it were new again. I never thought in my life I would know a love like this I'm grateful that God granted it to me and it will never be taken forgranted. All my love mom

BEAUTIFUL ! Both my children responded to my husband and myself in this same manner, and we spoke to them in a similar manner. It really works even though the infants may be responding to you tone of voice, your smile and enjoying your company; it’s all communication!

Once this little guy starts talking she will never shut him up. He has such a bubbly personality, it will be there forever. My daughter Megan was just like this and she spoke sentences before she was 14 months old. She read by age 3. And she tied the shoelaces for her entire nursery school class of 18 at 3.5 years old. Now an adult she has been very successful.

When my one son was about 2/3 months old - I was sitting waiting in a room at a hospital - where you went for advice on breastfeeding, & had your baby weighed etc. My son was lying in my arms, his face & eyes were fixated on my face & eyes. For about half an hour I talked to him & he also made noises, trying to talk. I actually lost all sense of where I was, & the other mums & babies. We were totally wrapped up in our own little world. I did not speak baby talk either. It was a precious time I will never forget. He never took his eyes off me, he didn't cry or wriggle he just lay in my arms & kept 'talking' & I responded.

The older child already talking can wait. When you have multiple children , they have to learn to share and take turns. Mom cannot be all things to everyone all at the same time. That’s why it’s called family. Dad is there, too.

My daughter had ear problems so barely talked at all until surgery at age 4! My son was the talker! What a difference when a child hears normally!
