i recently rescued a 25yr old amazon. his nails had not been trimmed in what looked like a decade or longer 😢 poor bird couldnt even perch. he hung like a bat from the top of his cage & when he got tired he would lay his head on perch underneath him. i managed to get his nails trimmed after 2hrs but will need to go back a couple more times so as not to cripple him. they were curled in complete circles,some twice! some were even embedded in his feet. im asking that whoever reads this & is considering adopting any bird to PLEASE PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE BRINGING ONE HOME. "Oden"and 3other birds were neglected & on a seed only diet. i have managed to get them to eat fruits&veggies&boiled eggs&pasta etc. they are really enjoying it too. having birds,or any animal is a HUGE RESPONSIBILITY & a lot of sacrifice&time$ is involved in their care. Foster first then if it looks as tho you truly want a bird please consider a rescue. thousands need GOOD LOVING HOMES. thank u for your time.

A Neighbor had her bird out and I saw a snake going straight for the cage to get the bird. Thank God that He had me out there to save the sweet birdie…ps…I’ve never put my birds out into the wild…❤❤❤…

Looks like Gordy could be much happier NOT SO CONFINED in his current cage. I built a medium Aviary in backyard, which my Pi just loved flying & climbing in..........space is good for both bird & beast..........why don't you do that too?

This is the same as if he was calling another bird.Parrots are 100% social animals he is calling, yet his calls are what he learned from humans not other parrots.You need to give this bird way more social stimulation.
