I'm 30 and I've been single 6 going on 7 years....and let me tell you that I'm the happiest I've ever been . Not because oh I can go do whatever I want because that was the last thing on my mind I was a sad sorry sack of human in the beginning and on top of that he abused me right when I had to attended my best cousins funeral and it was on my birthday . Literally worst time of my life . I was an emotional wreck and just felt like my life was coming down BUT I was there for my family I got communication with people I hadn't spoken to family wise and it was a beautiful moment for me . I felt like that part of me was starting to make up with my family for lost time . I wasn't okay as in my relationships with my friend with myself and it just had me sad I didn't even want to be out or talk and just die in my sadness because I was " so used to him " he was my everything LOL . But I was young and I wanted him to know that he had someone that wouldn't ever give on him and it was the worst choices of my life . I loved someone more than I loved myself and that's not healthy on no level . I'm so happy now I found myself I'm very awear of my surroundings now I'm very defensive in good ways lol but I just am living and loving life like I don't let anyone ever make me feel like he did or do what he did but I do get lonely cause I want what I deserve and I won't strive for less. So on that level it sucks but I'm happy .

Hear me out, the best way in my opinion and experience is to just not give a fk at the start. Just talk to them like they're just another person you talk to everyday, find out some stuff about them or talk about whatever and just become friends and talk frequently and become a part of their life and help them with things as friends and don't make it obvious you're into them and if something happens in their life like they get a bf just continue to stay friends and be happy for them and when the relationship goes bad be there for her and pick her up off the ground. Love as friends goes a long way and once you're best friends sexual tension builds up a lot until one of you cant take it anymore and you or her explodes and rips your cloths off and yeah you become that next thing. Don't get attached instantly it's growing a friendship overtime that creates the best relationships because they know you better than anyone in the world, better than your parents and that emotional bond is so powerful words cant describe it.

Who gets to know random people, much less every day though? I rarely leave the house and couldn't tell you who I had to talk to most times I have to go somewhere. There're like NPCs only in a really shit game. Not giving a fuck means they stop existing the second I can leave. Now, at this age a girl almost can't wow me, but, back when it was somewhat normal, that's pretty different effect to just another NPC. I never had a single instinct to SPEAK to a pretty girl, so it doesn't upgrade the default lack of desire to communicate. I specifically didn't and don't want to be friends since, again, that's also a very different thing from NPC or a crush. You're describing something foreign then something awkwardly hellish, either way contradictory.

I don't understand being grateful for an awkward minefield. I can literally get creep shit for explicitly just having a face. Rarely get that exactly from other men, but, holy hell, they're not a joy to interact with at random. Pretty women that have any idea you MIGHT find them attractive is a bad experience by default. Ugly chicks can be presumptuous and freely offensive, even when it makes no social sense, and there's nothing safe about suddenly running into one of those, much less the more normalized appearance of a creep-shaming setup of a pretty girl and even an average looking guy.
