I feel like I learned just as much, if not more, than they did. As well as her story and her incredible ability to deal with kids, but seeing these interactions from a different perspective. The last time I saw this kind of thing happen I probably was around those kids' age, and it's fascinating to see the perspective flipped.

Kids are the best! I have scars on my body from a disease. One day a little girl I’ve never met walked straight to me and asked if a scar on my upper arm still hurt. She was just 5 years old. I told her it’s all healed up. She kissed my arm and said it won’t ever hurt again… oh my goodness hahaha she was so stinking adorable.
