There's a reason this parrot is called Einstein. With an extensive vocabulary, he can replicate everything, from a human to a telephone.

Really great, although I still haven't figured out why he's Einstein. And it looks like this genius parrot didn't realize to leave a blank seconds space at the end of the video for those KZfaq added icons that appear at 0:52 to cover his beak when he delivers the most important shot of the entire video! So he "is no gunpowder inventor". ... and yet Einstein... LOL

They sure are interesting critters like having another baby. I believe that if you have possession of one you should have a will, and arrangements made for and with who would care for the bird and the expenses that go along with caring for this lovable bird. I had watched something about this, very sad situations.

A friend and his wife had an African gray. They decided it needed to go because it was using the husbands voice and creating interruptions in conversations. It was unwilling to chill no matter what. She was at a potential home for this parrot and feeling very guilty about leaving it there. It was going to be with another African Gray parrot. It walked up a line strung across the room and got right next to her and said. "It's okay Jan. I like it here. I'll be just fine." LOL

My Congo African Grey will be 30 in July. I reared her myself. To her I’m mommy because I’m who fed her every 4hrs, weighed her, taught her to eat, cuddled her, and provided everything her natural mother would have provided for her, and all before she even had feathers. She was all skin and beak lol. Her vocabulary is extensive as Greys are the smartest parrots on the planet. They don’t just mimic what you say, they understand it. They know without any verbal nor nonverbal cues what to say and when to say it. When you spend enough time around them you figure that out. The other thing African Greys do is speak in the voice in which they learned whatever it is they’re saying. They basically speak in voices lol. You can definitely distinguish my voice from my husbands voice when she speaks. They recognize amounts, different colors, different textures, different shapes, and sizes, and so on. They’re so incredibly intelligent, as smart as a five-year-old child with the emotional disposition of about a two-year-old. To us she’s not just a bird, she’s a member of our family. To put it in perspective our son was 11 1/2 when I reared her, and he’s now 42 years old. --< --< --< --

Einstein would NOT survive in the wild as he was captive bred. Stop captive breeding and all birds will be where they belong. Incidentally, Einstein was bought as a fledgling and before the internet was popular/had the information on it that it has today! When Einstein was bought in 1997, I was on the internet and very little was actually on there. I was making websites for animal charities (for free) and even they were designed very differently than they are today! So judging people who have a captive bred bird have probably had them for years BEFORE news of rescue organisations became easily apparent. Einstein has a great home, so many captive bred birds fo NOT have a good home. Breeders will sell to anyone for the 💵, and most (not all) care about where the bird goes or what happens to it. There are ethical breeders out there, but parrots in rescues and shelters CANNOT be set free into the wild. If this happened it would be incredibly cruel to the bird for a number of reasons. So, please, if anyone is judging someone at having a parrot, LISTEN to their story FIRST, and do not make presumptions and think that YOU know better! I would love to see every birb in the wild, but this is not the case. The best we can do for captive birds is to try and give them a life as close as possible to their wild instincts. Plenty of interaction, socialisation, foraging toys, a great diet and time OUTSIDE of the cage helps tremendously.

The more time ya give um the more they just keep on learning so time is soo key. 🕑👉🏽🕛! My gray likes whistles, sounds, and then voice ...in that order. Likes to make her own native sounds too but also imitates the microwave oven, electric telephone ringing, car alarms, outside dogs barking, sirens, the smoke detector , doorbell, cats being called, me gargling 👀😂 certain noises like squeaky doors etc. etc.etc. She sees me reaching for my cell and is already saying hello in my nasally voice 😂 Great birds but not best if left alone for long times an ya can’t give LOTS OF QUALITY ATTENTION . Even a small cage because just too smart and that can actually cause psychological problems-tru story 🤚🏽So read bout um first an make a good decision if a gray is the bird for ya to enjoy for maybe 60 plus years🐦❤️🐦💕🐦💖🐦

I’d love to have an enjoyable intelligent conversation with him. He could explain his philosophies with me. I’d come away from that conversation feeling far more intellectually knowledgeable. The downside would be......feeling less confidant after Einstein caused me to realize there’s still so much more to learn.....& I’d feel inadequate at 74 years of age. ❤️🇨🇦💐🎉😳

That's the beauty of life..we're never done learning, from our first breath to the last. My late dad's motto was Socrates' "All I know is that I know nothing",and since his passing, it's my motto.

So, many youtubers ruin otherwise good video's by overdubbing terrible music. people don't get it....we want the raw video's not some overproduced footage that is not the better for it. And most of them do not even bother reading the comments that state this.

I had an african grey timneh he called the cat by name and would meow, make our phone and fax noise, when someone rang the bell or knocked on the door he would yell come in, he spoke in english and german, very smart birds, his name was rocky because he was combative with men.
