First of all, I am so glad that we got a reasonably long video about Vivekji's experience of Grand Vitara short-drive instead of basic Shorts. I got reminded of one of the earlier videos wherein you explained who you both are, what you both do, what the idea of the channel is, etc. I remember you had told us that you both used to discuss about automobile and related tech on a regular basis, and the idea behind this channel is basically the same, your discussions happening with a camera switched on to record and sharing the same with us. I hadn't really thought at that time that we'll get to know about a huge lot of information about automobile industry through your videos. This one video must be one of the best for the same reason, this contains an fairly comprehensive information about Maruti's R&D facility what Vivekji had experienced. Wonderful discussion, great video bros.... 💙👍🏻😊 BTW, the Science Corner should come back with a bang, discussing Toyota's engine-hybrid combo as you have mentioned in the video. Waiting for the video of detailed drive review of Grand Vitara on our channel too.

Would like to hear about what major researches are going on in the automotive industry. any layman can guess that there is major RnD going on in the areas of autonomous driving and electric cars. however, i am curious to know if any thing else is also being developed. any scope for that topic in the science corner?

EMI and EMC tests are part of our AIS-004 and other similar standards. This test facility would be available at ARAI, ICAT etc for approvals and thirdparty labs such as TUV rheinland etc. As you said installation, operation and maintenance of such labs are very expensive. But when the public demand quality products, manufacturers cannot compromise on their products.

Insurance institute for highway safety (IIHS)does some interesting crash tests in The USA.They conduct something called the small overlap crash test which even big car companies like benz, audi and bmw found very hard to crack until 2017.Some of their ratings are very eye opening eg- bmw 5 series (f10) had a poor rating in small overlap crashtest as did the pre 2017 a4 but the jettas that came after 2015(the final facelift we got in india) scored a good rating(both passenger and driver side) and VW did not think it was a good idea to advertise it in india..another car that had a good result in the small overlap crash was the chevy cruze(better than all the big germans)...please do check their crash ratings i am sure you guys would find it very interesting..
