What a rude host 😢

The host is soooo rude, aggressive and bad mannered - I was really interested in what the man had to say (she clearly had nothing) but I couldn’t stand to watch it till the end because I was so afraid she would interrupt again and again and again; switched to another news channel.

Can we please listen to him, otherwise don't invite him and you can talk as much as you like

I worked as Cabin Crew for B.A. back in the 90’s and had an accident during clear air turbulence. 25 years on and I’m still suffering badly from my back injury !!!!

The person being interviewed was very knowledgeable, a shame the presenter sought to denigrate his commentary.

Hi I remember when my son was 3 weeks old flying back to UK from Cyprus for my sister in law's funeral. Then from London to Birmingham. As a retired WRAF Assistant Air Traffic Controller, I understood things a bit more than the average Joe Public. We got to about 2500 feet and with no warning, it was like we were a rat being shook to death by a Jack Russell Terrier. And there was nothing, total silence from the cabin crew or the aircrew. Fortunately I had my seatbelt on as I was holding on to my son. I have never prayed so much in my life. I was terrified. But we got through it. However, the same thing happened on the descent into Birmingham and I was convinced my mother was going to have to organise 2 more funerals. This has remained with me ever since. I am not a confident flyer anymore and during my time in the RAF I flew in many different types of aircraft, I even nearly fell out of the back of an Argosy, because of the segs in my beetle crushers, flat leather shoes, that had to gleam at all times, that was an adrenaline rush I can tell you. But wasn't a problem as the Air loady grabbed my arm. But this scared 7 shades of poo out of me, fortunately not literally. By the way my baby is now 37.

Scary times ahead with this climate change, only this morning the wind blew the cushion off my outdoor sofa, both my wife and I had to run indoors in fear of our lives.

This is why they tell you keep the seat-belt on at all times - it can be loose when the seat belt light is off.

This guy for decades has been travel reporter and is a very friendly guy! The hostile behaviour of that woman is incredible. Karen on steroids she is. I wanted to hear why turbulence are on the rise

Im sorry ive travelled a lot and ive never had injuries from turbulence, the person was up without a seatbelt its the only way.

Julia was extraordinarily rude to Simon. He is and has been an aviation expert for decades. How dare she be so condescending to an expert in his field and then go to ask "what is turbulence?" Staggeringly rude....

It could have been turbulence, or maybe something else. Passengers describe the plane going along fine, then tilting up suddenly, followed by a rapid drop. This sounds to me like a classic stall situation. The plane tilts up for some reason - either pilot error or technical malfunction. And it loses speed and lift, and then stalls. Then the plane drops quickly until the speed and lift returns, and the pilot can then regain control of the plane. They may have been no turbulence here at all. This early report of turbulence comes from Singapore Air, and maybe it is not quite accurate. I will wait to see what the investigation tells us.

You work as a news presenter. Your job is not to interject with your own opinion, it is to report facts, in this case facts backed up by an expert. Stop interuptng them and allow them to provide the information we are here to understand

I’ve made this same flight loads of times over the years and turbulence is very common along part of the route…As for the fatality, I guess it’s quite possible someone died of something like heart failure.

We do need to know why the pilots had no prior warning - assuming the passengers and cabin crew had no warning given to them.

As a sailor I experienced some really freak "wind" or air turbulence! Sometimes severe down draughts. This was more common when I sailed near a Navy base with helicopters flying in and out but it also happened in other places.

There wasn’t any need to have a pop at him for the climate change comment. He’s not there to be an expert on that. He’s just stating what some scientists are saying

She could have just simply said "I don't believe that part" and then let him continue talking about the incident. But, she wanted to start an argument and take the focus off the tragedy and make it all about her opinion on climate change.

Well done Simon for continuing through such an ignorant and interruptive new reader. After 40 years in aviation and many hundreds of thousands of miles travelled I can tell you there has been an increase in severe weather events including turbulence and it is due to a changing climate
