Roofe scored the first goal in the first game and the ref gave a foul after Lagerbielka was stripped of the ball. Of course it didn’t count but it should have. The second game at Ibrox could have gone either way but ended in a draw. The two games at Celtic Park Rangers were down to ten for half of each game. Results matter. But on the simple question of whether Celtic are “miles ahead” the answer is obvious. Gone are the 4-0 and 5-1 skelpings. The gap isn’t that big.

It's the poorest Scottish club football has ever been in my lifetime I am 42, coming up for 43 & I have never ever known all our clubs to be so utterly terrible. Celtic are the beat of a terrible , terrible standard of league that is The Scottish Premier League. The gap between Celtic & Rangers is big the gap between Rangers & Hearts is bigger still , the hap between Hearts all the way down to Eeast Kilbride In the Lowland League is like the bloody Grand Grand Canyon. Our club game is in a shambolic state every game, including The Old Firm games are as dull as ditch water I dont care if we are talking Old Firm game , Edinburgh derby , Aberdeen V Hibernian or Raith Rovers V Dundee United, the games are dull with not a lot of action in terms of goals. I remember a time when The Old Firm had genuine talented players. Even clubs like Hearts , Hibernian, Aberdeen , Saint Mirren, Dundee , Dundee United had players you would pay good money to watch not now. So my Celtic fans are happy to be Kings of a tinny Sandpit & that is what our league is now. Me I am looking to have Scottish club football be the Taj Mahal of football, not just. a pishy small Sandpit of a league. Ask your this you're happy now as a Celtic fan in 2024 & this is the standard of football player you are seeing what will the standard of your team be like in 15 to 20 years from now if this is the standard now it's only going to go down the standard as time go's on the way things are heading thanks to the clowns running our league. My nephew is 6, and now he is a Celtic fan & how I look at it is you might of seen Larsson & co but what will the standard be like buy the time he is old enough to go to Celtic Park with his friends & from whare I standard I dread to think. The League needs more working capital for all clubs regardless of whether it's Celtic or Livingston you cant have a league with only one club in it now, can you. Think about all that.

Celtic looked very good for the first 30 minutes and I thought butland really kept Rangers in it. Celtics defending for rangers goal was poor and then when Celtic had 11 Vs 10 Celtic were way out ahead for another 30 minutes but there seemed to be a real lack of urgency about scoring and a almost cocky attitude to pass the ball into the net. Which made the last 10 minutes somewhat end to end when rangers thought okay go for it. Celtic are poor under Rodgers and the mentality to see out big games is missing but the quality is there to be seen in moments. Rangers are just bad their right back is their top scorer but he gets done and shown up as a defensive liability in every single big game.

Anyway that was only one game. Rangers have taking one point from 12 and celtic simply have better players in key postions. The fact is you have regressed under Brenda and got away with it because Clement is still working with a lot of the dross of the Gerrard/van Bronkhorst/ Beale eras. Celtic fan here, yeah it's the 4 derby matches that definitely make or break the season for either club, but sometimes freak results do occur, like when rangers lost to Motherwell and then Celtic also lost the same day. It's rare to see both lose the same day, How much money do you think Rangers will get this summer as for the rebuild they're talking about gonna happen, the reported £25 mill might not be enough?
