This is a much better squad than the one we had against Iceland. Plus Hart was a joke in that tournament, Pickford is a much more reliable keeper. Can see us at least scraping through.

Past world cup...despite qatar being problematic...produced some of the best international games I've seen. This euros has just had some stinkers. Maybe the low block defending, sideways passing has made things a bit stale lately? Hopefully it's a phase.

A large problem is having third place qualification, it encourages weaker teams to play for draws, so they take no risks, park the bus and defend like it's the World Cup final. As long as you don't loose you have a chance of qualification from third place.

Any team with any attacking ability will beat England,we have been that awful, and i know its been pointed out several millions of times Crapgate has absolutely no idea what to do next. He played as a defender for Villa and that talented team from the north,, boro,also as a defender so thats all he knows,how to defend which is probably why he plays with 15 men in defence. I just also want to congratulate Villa on a magnificent season UTV.

I have a weird thought that Southgate is going to do the following - With Foden going back to the UK, I think Southgate will use that as an excuse to drop him on Sunday, by saying he is tired and has not trained - Then England play the very mediocre team and WIN and Southgate will then use that as a reason for keeping a winning team - Southgate has never known how to deal with the Foden / Bellingham situation and this situation is going to play right into his hands BUT I hope I am wrong as Foden should be in that team

It will be the same against Slovakia and all the way to the final. Slovakia will play the same way as Slovenia, defensively everyone back in the last 3rd of the pitch, looking for a goal on the break. England have shown in the last 3 games they are not capable (tactically or skill wise) of breaking that mentality.

@@Zion66666 Haha I can tell you have not even played fotball at a semi profesional level. La liga teams are highly physical, especially the lower ranked teams. They have to be more physical due to lack of technical brilliance and talents pool from their players compared to Real and Barca. Bellingham and Vini received crazy amounts of hard tackles in order to stop him through out the season. Even if he played as a 10, he was all over the pitch every game, no one in Real madrid stays on top. Everybody helps out in defence and Bellingham was doing insane recovery runs through out the season, this is not PSG. That he is not injured right now is still a miracle. Even if you pay him billions you cant change the biological aspect of the game. They are not on steroids. Playing 50-60 games of full games in a season and intense training inbetween with barely any rest before the Euros takes a toll on the body. Try to run 10-15 kilometers every 3 days with low combined with high intensity intervall training and you legs will be numb for days and then try to do explosive runs at top speed+ add a friend who tackles you every now and then and lets say how long your legs will last. Don`t comment on things you do not understand.
