Liverpool have had some shocking decisions go against them for the last few years, but every club has had decisions go against them. Liverpool have had some luck go their way too, maybe not through VAR, but just some other things. Like last season, the Sheff Utd keeper spilling an easy shot, Leicester giving away a soft penalty right at the end of the game, and so on. Fulham have had some poor decisions go against s too. There's no conspiracy. It's just that the VAR decision making process (not VAR itself) is an absolute shambles. However, Football has existed for 150 years, and VAR has existed for less than three of those years, so it will improve, but right now it is a shambles, no doubt.

I think the vvd decision was so bad not sending off Pickford and giving a pen, as Peter Walton said, the offside did not matter as it was dangerous play a red card should’ve been given, look at the pen Utd got at Brighton, the game had finished and Utd got a pen

They're not excuses, they're reasons. When the champions drop off a cliff everyone starts to try and figure out why. Liverpool haven't played well without fans, it's not an excuse because no team has fans, but it could partly why they are just so bad. You have to ask why they struggle worse than others, it's a reason but it's not acceptable. When things were going well, VAR decisions went their way, or if they didn't it was in a game they were ahead and comfortable. But when you're struggling, they go against you. It's not an excuse, every team feels like this. They will have 1 of the CBs back for the start of the new season. They will have Hendo back, a summer with money to buy players, god willing fans back... all these reasons will be gone and we will see if they compete with City and others or it was a flash in the pan. Time will tell.

During Liverpool's first game against Leeds, the ball bounced off Koch's knee and hit his arm, Liverpool got a penalty. That rule has since been changed, Liverpool benefited from that VAR decision. You win some you loze some.

A right back who can't defend ? Isnt a right back a defensive position ? Also he won't be as effective playing for england because the system isnt build around the full backs being the main playmakers as it is with liverpool.

I won't deny he is amazing going forward i just think they are rbs who suit southgates system alot better and southgate clearly doesn't fully trust him . I would still have him in the squad though

@@user-fd5bf6nj4y he's definitely improved his defensive game compared to when he first came into the team, possibly at the detriment to his attacking game. I don't know what Southgate prefers but I do think Kyle Walker is better all rounder than other choices. He'll have tough choices for future international games, there's plenty of time for all the named players to improve before then. TAA should be in the squad.

Trent = more assists than any other fullback in decades. He's played against the best teams for 3 years and he's 22. Reece = at the beginning of his career, hasn't had the the same experience (yet) or shown the same figures (yet) Where's the conversation or debate?

@@paulw6183 Have you watched the video? They are talking about Reece and Trent being directly comparable in attacking quality. I'm talking about those comments. But in terms of "more complete," I'd like to see him play more first. He doesn't play week-in week-out at Chelsea this year, or last year. He's rotated in and out. Which is great he's young. I love the lad, but I still Trent has done so much in that time.

For me he could do a job playing infront of James

*Has been. The problem is; the old mantra is there for a reason... "you are only as good as your last game". This season, TAA hasn't been head and shoulders above. The problem is that he isnt a great "allround" fullback, defensively he simply is not as good as any of the other top options for England. When he is onform, his crossing is elite; but that is his primary attribute. Outside of that, yes his link up play is very good, but no better than players like James, who is a far better defensive option. This season so far James has 5 assists to Alexander-Arnolds 6; so at present, they are comparable with assists, comparable with link up play, but James offers far more defensively (despite still not being a defensive fullback). Who knows if that will stay the case, or if TAA will even stay a fullback? But atm, it is absolutely the right call to not have him in the England squad.

How much are they likely to cost? If Chelsea aren't going to extend Giroud contract I'd be inclined to offer him a year or two and extend Cavani for another year. Have experience up front and get problem positions sorted cdm, rw and CB. Greenwood could learn alot from those two. Don't know how likely any of that is though.

I just happened to read an article yesterday, that showed the disparity in VAR decisions against Liverpool since it came in at the start of 2019/20 As you say, it conveniently left out the ones that go for them... but again, that wasn't what the initial comment was about mate. @Red Rover it was last season. This season has been something else. Everyone complained about the decisions made but they’re within the law, now the refs don’t care for human error or competitiveness that’s why the mctominey incident happened. The ref needs to make that call and it Spurs has an issue they could appeal/complain but they wouldn’t cos they know there was nothing there

The manager is only as good as the players at his disposal. We don’t have natural wingers. Cavani will get better service if Sancho is signed. Rashford, Martial, Greenwood are not going to cross the ball like Beckham or Giggs.

Note to all fans of all clubs. There is no conspiracy against your club. Liverpool fans complaining about offside goals noted by VAR have very short memories. I am a Chelsea fan and remember a certain Timo Werner scoring, what looked like to us all, a legitimate goal only to be ruled offside due to the length of his sleeve. VAR has ruined the game and the officiating has dropped even further due to VAR.

Klobby is deluded I agree that TAA is a very talented footballer and will probably win 50+ caps for england but right now come a crunch semi final at the euros he's not good enough defensively to play RB for england against belgium or France on his other point VAR has robbed every team at some point it's a bogus system that isn't fit for purpose but you can't say it's only affected liverpool cuz it hasn't klobby must be the most deluded bitter football fan out there at the minute

Who has had more penalties than manure this season? 50/50 its a penalty for manure and if its the other way a 50/50 is not given to their opponent. Without pens theyd be mid table!

@@theorderlyman8042 there not interested in people opinion or having a discussion its there show so do what they like. Jason Cundy is he well though of in football id say not. Andy should maybe stick with snooker. It's a terrible show and can say will not be listening to them again.
