Emilio has a heart of gold. 20 years ago I worked at a grocery store and Emilio shopped there, he was always so friendly to all of who worked there. We had a cashier that was going to the Prom in a couple of days and she was sharing with him that her Prom dress was stolen out of her car, she was so sad and upset that day. She had been saving money for her dress for weeks and could not afford to buy another one. Emilio left the store and came back the next day and bought our cashier a brand new Prom dress for her so she can go to the Prom. We all witnessed that and we were all just wowed by this. Much respect to Emilio!

What's sad is that you let your race determine your life instead of just going out there and being you rather than your race. Hollywood and the MSM have people brainwashed. You're race means NOTHING in America. Everyone has the same opportunity even if the MSM and Hollywood has told you different. There are plenty of successful people that came from nothing of all races shapes and sizes that now have everything. You being Latino had NOTHING to do with your success in life.... blame yourself not your race.

I used to work in film production about 7 years ago and was very low on the totem pole at my job.. this man was the absolute nicest person I have ever met, let alone the nicest celeb I met through work. Kind, generous, funny, smart as hell and insanely talented in many facets. I was a nobody, and he always went out of his way to treat me like I was somebody. He treated everyone that way in our Midwestern town. I will never forget him, and wish him well.

Not surprised to hear that, Heather. Emilio was a high school classmate of mine and he was always a really genuine guy. That was before he was famous, of course, but I think it's very commendable that Hollywood hasn't seemed to affect him one bit. I've worked on movies most of my life too and I can attest that it's a business that can really play with your sanity.

Emilio was one of the coolest young actors of the 80's and 90's who has tried hard to shed the Brat Pack image that made him a star. His talent as a director and screen writer is underappreciated. When I was a teen, I had such a big crush on him at one time. Teenage hormones 😂 But even thirty five years ago Emelio seemed the most authentic of that brat pack, quieter not as showy. In the imagination of a teenage girl on the other side of the planet, who's walls were adorned with movie posters from the 80's, he stood out for all the right reasons....his charachter. I didn't know shit back then, I certainly knew nothing about him beyond his screen roles, but watching him now, he still has that same authenticity and it still makes him an attractive man. I don't have crushes anymore, I'm nearly fifty, those days have passed with youth, but it's nice to see his face again, and even nicer to see he still has that humility and authenticity about him. Maybe I knew more than I thought, his energy although tempered with age, still feels the same, and I imagine him to be a person you could sit with and have a really good long conversation about the good shit, the stuff that matters. 😊

I like Emilio's film "The Way" which inspired me and my friend to do the El Camino trail in Spain in 2017. My friend grew up in Spain, has a Spanish mother, and speaks Spanish with a Spanish accent which helped immensely in communicating and getting rooms in the Albergues. The Spanish people were so welcoming and friendly and I enjoyed the Trail immensely, although it was physically hard at times as I am "gifted with age." Unfortunately the El Camino Trail is virtually shut down in 2020 due to the Corona Virus. I wish the best luck to Emilio and his new film and I think he is a talented director and actor. Buen Camino Emilio!

I was touched by your comment and I'll I'm glad you got to go. I too enjoyed is movie The Way. I feel they captured the experience such a special way. The special features that came with the DVD made me go out in get the biography he wrote with his father. Great story! I turn 64 next month and was going to do the Camino from St Jean beginning the 1st of September. Next year is a holy year and too many people will go. most likely won't get another chance until 2022. I'll just keep watching the movie over and over. I never get tired of it.
