One of the teachers from my school went here and is helping our band director lead the band. He hypes everyone up and is fun to be around. Thanks to him, I'm considering coming here after high school to be in the drumline. Even though he played the baratone, he mostly hangs around with the line. He is one of the best leaders in band (to me) and makes school and band (even though band is already fun) awesome.

Drum Majors need some work and not mention a head DM uni. The band has so much potential but can't escape the SU duplication. I guess maybe because the band director is a Juke is why they sound similar

Yea the thing is though it's hard to be creative with your drum majors now a days cause a lot of styles have been taken from NCAT to FAMU to Alcorn to SU and JSU, like there ain't nothing you could do that is different from other bands

HellSpawned Gamer not SU because their DM don't really do any thing which I've always found to be crazy. J5 has some of the most exciting DM at least in my opinion. You're right about all the other schools DM are being copied so it it is hard to get your own style.

HellSpawned Gamer we (SU) dm, don't need to do all the jumping around...............and the 70's music group, "The Temptations" dance steps. We've been doing what we do, for more than 40 yrs. One DM................that's our style. "Often Imitated, Never Duplicated".............SU

Tommy Lee Jr. You guys should do more bro, cause there ain't never been anything exciting about y'all, and then you guys rarely even direct too, I understand that the band director does it but come on guys, you're in the shadows and barely noticed and no one imitates a DM who seems to do absolutely nothing but just marching ahead of the band when entering and exiting a performance

Wrong foot...... Turning the wrong way....... Looks like an unorganized drill team..... I'm sorry this way filmed in February so there was plenty of time to practice. The timing was awful.

james bullock, I believe it is because they don't realize how much real work goes into polishing up that JS group of drum majors. they really practice every day what they do, and they have it down to a science. they work really hard at it.
