I'm sorry, "Happy" killed it for me! Alcorn played with balance, you could hear every part of EVERY song clearly. As time goes on TC will get better, and honestly the fact that BANDHEADS are comparing a 3-YEAR OLD BAND with SWAC giants should tell everyone that once TC gets an identity, balance and better arrangements to match their power, EVERY HBCU band is in trouble... PERIOD!

TC's first real battle was against Alcorn at the Jackson BOTB in 2013; it's what got them recognized. And now here we are lol Good Job. Alcorn didn't blow it with song selection or execution this time. Hope to see more of this. Previous clips show Talladega would sound MUCH better in the stands. The STANDS is where their strength lies. It's obvious that their "imbalance" is due in large part to this uneven formation. Let this be a learning tool

Does TC even have trumpets, because you can barely hear them. The mellos and btones are drowning them out. TC needs to work on balancing their sound out a lit bit more. But all in all, I give this one to Alcorn.

I know this is a parade but this much is clear about Alcorn. They are not like they used to be. Alcorn had a balanced sound, no overblowing, and no screaming horns on every song. They had a good flag corps and twirlers that added that something extra to their shows. All of that has been eliminated. If they wanted to "get back to their roots" then this is not the way to do it.

So Arcade Ace you saying TC shat on SU because of their volume? I don't get it, because whenever SU used to actually crank in people everyone said "they too loud, I can't hear the instruments, I can't appreciate their musicality" but instead TC does it and it's music. TFOH! TC just needs to clean up their sound, tune if you will because that band still hasn't found their identity. You can tell the difference between a well balanced band and someone who just wants to be heard and Alcorn demonstrated that. To everyone who still is saying TC is a better band please stop cause of that's the case you can say all of these high school Louisiana bands are the greatest of all times just cause they're loud. Lastly, Alcorn dug all in Talladega as well and they didn't even need their whole band. My thing is if TC fixes their sound and make their arrangements more advanced then and only then is when most of these people will give them their true credit. I respect them but they doing the most with trying to be loud. Loudness doesn't win the battle cause you covering up other weak sections and if one section messes up, IT SOUNDS BAD!
