Peruvian style spaghetti pesto is another known dishes of our cuisine, and we have this dish thanks to Italian immigration that arrived in Peru in the mid of the 19th century, mostly from Genoa and Liguria.
INGREDIENTS:
500 g or 1 lb spaguetti
150 g spinach leaves or 4 packed cups
70 g basil leaves or 1 packed cup
½ small chopped onion
1 tablespoon chopped garlic
75 g queso fresco (part skim milk cheese)
¼ cup evaporated milk
25 g pecans
salt, cumin and pepper to your own taste
*Steak:
Season the steak with garlic, salt and pepper.
