I used to mess with tallbirds in my creative worlds due to their raw power they possess. Now that Klei made things like this possible in survival, I really must say I'm a huge fan. Thank you for sharing this, I really think it's cool stuff!

This is a nicer and more compact farm compared to using like 30-60 bunnyman huts. I'll probably switch to this method but the main downside is how dangerous the birds can be.

I bet you can use one less pan flute charge if you use the bee queen hive to block the entrance combined with some walls and maybe statues like with the mant queen, just approach right before day so they're asleep but soon to wake up

For 20 smallbirds you'll need to feed them 40 seeds a day for 10 days. Then like, 20 meatballs or whatever food you're feeding them every day for 18 days which amounts to 400 seeds and 360 food items. Since you're farming for the seeds anyway might as well give then dragonpies. So I'll need to farm 360 dragonfruits, with 720 tomatoes for the combination and 360 other filler. One digamajig can give you 12 dragonfruit crops, or an average of 30 per harvest if you grow them to be giants. So with four digamajig you'll need three harvests. Yeah sure I can spend a spring, a summer and an autumn for farming the required food and growing those tallbirds. Not to mention the bundling wraps I'll need which I can only get from bee queen-unless I activate winter's feast.

This is a beautiful piece of madness! Have you tried relocating the tallbirds without hatching them? Since they can be relocated now you might be able to do it quicker if you have like a tall bird fort you can bring them from.

So I did the tallbirds vs bee queen fight in my one thousand days world, it went smoothly last time I fought bee queen. But instead hatching them I thought teleporting them to the hive to make new nests was a more durable option, I used almost a stack of purple gems and some of them were lured by walking, a few died along the way so be sure to clean out bees and spiders around the hive.

This is amazing and really efficient but it’s really difficult to get enough tall bird eggs and raise them all up to adulthood unless you have a tall bird fortress and a healthy supply of food for the small birds since they can starve.

Its actually better if you don't hide in the bush hat the queen prefers player aggro meaning she won't even attack tallbirds or do her abilities

All you need to do is to pray to the god to spawn 20 tallbird nests next to Bee Queen.

All this work you might as well just get better at the game and kill the queen.

Don't believe this stupid clip :D. Trust me ! as player who played DST for about more than 2k hours, I can say that you cannot do this in the real game, unless you are cheating. This is not a good way. you need 10 days for rasing to teenbird and 18 days more for rasing to Tallbird (total 28 days no fighting :D). If there are hound waves or boss coming, all of your smallbirds (or teenbirds) are sure dead. Moreover, raising all of that smallbird to teenbird will need massive of seeds, berries, or meat. If you want to raise 1 smallbird to teenbird, you will need about 60 seeds (or 40 berries). But, just look at how many birds he has :D. This is nonsense. If you want to kill Bee Queen, just use Winnona. It will be much more easier.
