Still waiting for the day we have high rise farming where chicken waste and fish poo from lower levels can be directly fed to roof top vegetable and fruit gardens. A perfect eco-recycling within a building.

I do not know what are the implications but it seems we are not making enough use of our rooftops. :(

The more efficient way is to separate the vegetables, chicken and fish to their own multi story farms, you dumbfuck. Cause each have their own intricacies and if you put them together it will be inefficient. Next, even if the chicken waste and fish pop is to be used as fertilisers they definitely won’t be directly fed to the vegetables due to hygiene reasons, you moron, they have to be processed separately into an appropriate form before being used on the vegetables

Have saw a Chinese documentary about their implementation of organic fish and vegetable farm. Vegetables are farm using hydroponics and together with porous stones act as water filter. If that is implemented on a high raised build setting, rooftop garden probably isn't enough. It will require a few levels dedicated to vegetables farming using grow light.
@mindtwister1984
@mindtwister1984 3 жыл бұрын
@@hianhoolim7786 The huge fish and poultry waste will overwhelmed the rooftop system. The pt is how to create the right balance so that everything works in equilibrium. I am sure with careful planning and a few greenhouse floors, mirrors n ventilation for vegetation should do the trick.
@hianhoolim7786
@hianhoolim7786 3 жыл бұрын
@@mindtwister1984 the more important questions is how to make it economically viable. What the Chinese did was to ensure both fish and vegetable meet the classification of organic produce which commands a premium, however not sure will that trick work in a high raised farm. Vegetables produce using sunlight are organic without a doubt but grow light? Edit Using mirrors or reflection of sunlight is unlikely to work. Imagine using 1 rooftop to reflect light to a few levels of vegetables. That means each level is receiving a fraction the sunlight compared to directly on rooftop.
