I hate that about the price is right. I know there’s no practical way to stop contestants from bidding as low as they want, but it’s completely against the spirit of the game. At least try, it’s the least you should do. My idea is, if you bid under $100 (pretty obvious), instant disqualification. If you bid under $10,000 (less obvious, but the showcase is never lower than $20,000) the other contestant gets the cash value of their showcase as compensation.

My point was that Jose doesn't look like a Mexican (although Mexicans have several races and looks to them) and if I had to guess, I would say he isn't Mexican. I never said Puerto Rico's currency was in pesos or even spoke of the size of Hispaniola and, if anything, that just further shows the foolishness of RealTaco87's comment by stating that Puerto Rico uses dollars and not pesos. Sounds like you are debating with or talking to yourself. Overall, any average person reading the original comment would think that RealTaco87 would be thinking Jose is Mexican, which most people would find confusing, wrong, foolish, and possibly even ignorant.

@@Progger11 the president’s administration can shutdown things like oil pipelines making it more expensive to produce and transport goods causing inflation and the president has a lot of influence on the federal reserve because he can technically fire the chair of the board and appoint new members if he wants to. So while he can’t officially make the federal reserve do anything he is definitely in all the talks with them. So those two things combined cause the president to have a massive impact on the economy and inflation

I would never bid $1 on a showcase, even when it's that much of a slam dunk. Bidding $1 is just rubbing it in, when she could easily have bid 10,000-12,000 and still had a good safety margin. In 2023, you can pretty much guarantee a 20,000 bid will not go over. It's been several years since there was a showcase that was under $20 Grand.
