Күн бұрынHere's Chris playing Tama's incredible Starclassic Walnut Birch in Lacquer Blue Ocean Ripple.
22x16" bass drum, 10x8" and 12x9" toms, and 14x12" and 16x14" floor toms with double tom attachment
6mm (4-ply birch, 2 inner ply of walnut) on toms.
Incredible focus and attack with excellent low end response. Projection is off the charts. Die cast hoops, StarCast mounts, 10lug bass drum.

Was just watching DCP and it's frustrating how awkward their playing is, ya know? Record very well though and seem to work hard. Can't imagine it's easy to do the comparisons they do.

It just gives me a special feeling to sit behind a kit like this and I enjoy every note and play things that I wouldn’t normally play on my setup

I have this setup with an 8x7 Tom 7 piece in birch bubinga. The Ocean Blue Ripple is beautiful.

After listening to multiple demos of this kit vs. a mapex saturn V, i'm digging the more aggressive sound of these Tamas. I think it's the birch that gives it that quality. Loads of attack and a fast focused sound!

We love birch for this reason. The walnut mixed in just rounds them out and gives them even more low end boom. Such a focused, clear sound. Each brand has their own distinct sonic flair, and these have that "Tama" thing to the fullest extent.

Well, the biggest difference is its hoop, not wood. TAMA uses die-cast. Wood does not give a crucial change in sound.

China. Tams has an excellent Chinese factory, and most Starclassics have been made in China for well over a decade.

The two drummers that work the sales floor are Chris (pictured) and me, Will. I'm the guy in the majority of the other demo videos. We're both red-headed lefties
