@@JillGrygas Got mine in the UK so hopefully i didn't snipe it from your friend lol! "interestingly" i noticed the US version says "Tamagotchi connection" above the screen while the EU version just says "Tamagotchi", also i think the buttons are slightly different colors :P Makes me wonder what other subtle variations there are :P

@@SiiruulianPhantele Haha no worries my friend hasn't tried to purchase one yet. She was looking at it a few weeks ago. Its amazing how different the EU and US versions of Tamagotchis are!

The Pix is honestly the best you can get right now, IMO. The screen is so nice. The old screens on the Tamagotchi ON would scratch so easily and the animation lagged a bit.

I saw the compukitty is coming back and was really excited, but the preorders weren't up when I saw the news. Are they available now? I'm going to have to look. My friend has the Sabrina kitty from the 90's and I'm wondering if the magic cat is going to be like that one. I can't wait to get my hands on this! @@JillGrygas yes... it's available for preorder now last I checked. I just received the nano hello kitty and a mini yesterday...we preordered the Pix Party (both designs) and two of the originals being released this month. You should have heard my excitement when I realized that they are still releasing PREORDERS for Tamagotchis!!! Lol... that's when I knew that I had no choice but to get into this hobby. I am really sad that the ON is losing the app and future support because they look like sooo much fun...but I still plan on getting one. I don't have too much interest in any of the Japan exclusive releases...yet lol. The Smart looks soooo cool but I'm really hoping they'll come out with a US/English version for us. They're really pushing the Pix for us here in the States. I plan on getting several of the gigapets and Digimon...they have new Digimon up for preorders as well. I've been on a virtual pet high for the past few weeks...and my poor switch has been neglected a bit because of it. Thank you again for replying and I'm always open to chatting about any of this stuff!!! I feel like I'm still such a newbie though because like I said... I had no IDEA this stuff was still around and still so amazingly popular!!!

Yooo, thx for outright calling this a hobby. I feel like vpets may be a rush of nostalgia for most ppl, but then there are those ppl who ran a pet on and off over the years fondly. as a 30-something in the states who didnt know that these things were still in production until very recently, i sorta jumped in as well. I love these collection videos from longtime collectors. I only have one of my original collection, but it is still working and has a mostly visible lcd (gigapet onigiri trex 97') Can anyone shine some light on the gigapets pixie and why its resolution and gameplay arent getting praised?? I havent seen a review pointing out the removal of the seconds digits on the clock screen of the GigaPets relaunch devices, perhaps its a fringe use case, but tamagatchi wins for calculating bpm/heartrate/rpm/flowrate or any sample/time measurement. Just ordered my first digimon 🤞 lets gooo

What I showed you here in my video is my collection, but I definitely do not run them all at the same time! That would be a disaster! :)
