So on this video i will now share to you ..my way of testing my lightings electrical wirings, Even how well expirience we are, we are just humans that sometimes can make errors so, to avoid simple error to be on big trouble ,, the best way is to test the cuicuit before energizing, and it is also the best way to avoid backjobs so lets start , so it has two ways , 1 is that when the lighting was no lighting load or its just receptacles and we can say its open cuircuit , the other one is when there is a lighting loads ...
so the first one is if the lightings has no load bulbs .. , the best way to test it is by using multimeter, first the cuircuit must be not energized onthis method. Then check the panel box and look for the branch circuit for lghting associated to be tested, the lets short its terminals wth a piece of wire .. the lets use a multi meter on continuity mode on every receptacles ,when the switch turns on youll hear a beep sound, when off it also beep off,
No 2 is when the lighting cuircuit has bulbs , so the best way to test it is by select multi meter to resistance ,not continuity , the plug the test prove to the terminal of the breaker for lghting, so heres how to understand , when the swtches are off . the multi meter must read nothing, no resistance at all then when you turn on any switch you can read the resistance of its lghting load or bulb , so with that you can assume that your cuircuit is working fine ,,
