To those who don't understand, this may be the simplest plot: Android ("robot") JENNIE in blue may be a replica of the REAL JENNIE sent to steal something important from the house (TAMBURINS perfume collection maybe and that candle) but crosses path with another thief (the Man) who pretended to be the house owner. Android JENNIE knew it's not the case thus their confrontation. Android JENNIE is defeated but the real house owner/JENNIE arrived right on time. None of them may be regular humans. What to do with the fragrance? Maybe it's outrageous, unique or unconventional. If it doesn't make sense, the company is about making scents anyway.

The way I interpreted it was Jennie was a supernatural human thief. She got distracted by the Tamburins candle which is the only reason she got caught. She had no fear of confrontation cuz' she probably couldn't be killed. She let him think that she was only to reappear alive. I think it was to mess with his head. She's was like I was just gonna steal your stuff but since you messed with me I'm gonna steal your house too!
