Tamdhu 15 is a top Sherry bomb! Much better than new glendronach 15! Can't wait to try tamdhu 18!

I might try the 18 once, if I can get my hands on a bottle. In the past I have had the Cask Strength, and I did quite enjoy that. Thanks for the review.

For reference, I bought the set of sherrys from Lustau (everything from Fino to Pedro Ximenez). If you're into sherry aged scotch, it's worth checking out to familiarize yourself with the different flavors.

Oh lovely! Do you have a favourite sherry type? I used to like px the best but have moved on to oloroso which is my new fave ☺️ Definitely worth trying sherry on its own, especially for those who like sherry-matured whisky

@@swedishwhiskygirl Oloroso and Px are great! Palo Cortado is on the dryer side but so good. Moscatel is also very sweet and grapey

Really like Tamdhu you should try the batch strength bottlings.

I really like the 15 year old but the price hike to the 18 is a big one for me. I will definitely get a bottle on a deal if I can find one in the future. It's also very interesting how different oloroso sherry tastes compared to the influence it has on whisky, I find it much more dry but very elegant nonetheless, cheers!

I’ll keep my fingers crossed that you’ll find it somewhere for a more affordable price 🥃 I know what you mean - I think the more you experience you have of trying oloroso on its own, the easier it gets to identify layers of it in a whisky. I feel like I appreciate oloroso matured whiskies more after learning to like oloroso neat ☺️

hi ,thank you for the review....any way we should be carefull on the Tamdhu consistency...had bad moments on Tamdhu, diferent age statments...sometimes it just doesnt sounds like a malt but...kind of malt almost blend?..just saying...cheers

when i said Sound ...it tasted like a Blend ,the one ive tried...so my doubt is about consistency on their whiskys...cheers
