We were lucky to have a Smooth Fox Terrier for 12 years. Q...an incredibly beautiful, smart and energetic animal. He never liked the water either... We miss you buddy!

You've done a lot of good work with your boy...and will have a friend for life..I've had Smooths for the past 30 years, can't be without their zany antics...one of the most responsive breeds to humans..thanks, Bruce

Talented little bundle of energy! Such a sweetie! So many tricks :) Always will Love smooth fox terriers. Hold very dear memories of my first dog ' Penny' as a kid, she was so loyal. Doting upon any new trick we'd teach her. Loved that dog.

That's awesome my dog is a smooth hair foxy and he's soo smart he knows a lot of tricks to it only takes him 2 days to learn a trick depending on the trick and if he's interested watching this gave me some new ideas thanx: )

Great video!!! I LOVE the part where you throw the stick in the water and the DUMB Labrador (no offence) does all the work and gets soaking wet to retrieve it while the SMART Fox Terrier patiently waits bone dry on the shore waiting to steal it from the Lab!!! I love Terriers and that's why.

Totaly agree with you. I knew a very smart smooth fox, he was so furious with labrador each time he saw one, he played with others dogs breeds but not with them. I don't know why : perhaps he thought that lab. dogs are too voracious and oftently too bigs and lazy . What a great foxy on the video, best friend for this young girl .

Well the Australian shepherd I’m afraid can run circles around them all. The “dumb” Labrador is doing his job - swimming and retrieving. Terriers are terrific! So are labradors. Aussies I’m afraid can teach them all and then sit back and collect the check. :)

Hi Tameefox, awesome tricks with your Fox, we have a Brazilian terrier bitch and she learns new stuff pretty quickly.. but never thought of her shutting doors, that's amazing! Would be a bit tricky here in the winter though... just in case she forgets to shut it! Best regards, greetings from Finland

***** they are very nice to people they always want to meet new people to. Also, when they see people they have meet, they tend to jump on them. But they will never bite. And the price range depends. If you get a pure breed they can be anywhere from $200-$450. Look on cregslist...

+Jessica Lentz they are the smartest dogs on earth... I have one my dad raised temp sincere was 5. So they would learn on trick (if u practice a lot) 3-5 days

I think you could have any dog in an apartment so long as you walk him every day. Dogs don't really care where they are or what they have to do. Dogs just want to spend every second of their life with their master. Whether that's watching TV or sleeping or walking so long as they are with their master then they're happy. For those of the PC Brigade a master can be male or female or whatever.
