Ok so the “numb” part. Sichuan peppercorns (from the province Sichuan where Hot Pot is huge) have an anaesthetic quality to them which actually does numb the inside of your mouth. It’s a really interesting experience. Glad you tried all these!

I’d love to see you do another trip to one of the donut shops you enjoyed to try more of their products or flavors you didn’t try the first time… I know there were several places you went to that woukd be worth going back for more!!! 😊

Oh, do you live in our area so you can try them? I always wonder about doing videos of local places that people don’t have in their area. Sometimes I feel like, what’s the point if people can’t get them.

I like the sound of "numb and hot". That's what I'm looking for! 😂 But that's a shame they weren't good. If they had one with that level of heat with the squid flavor, I'd go for that.

Hmmm, I've never had grilled squid. I had a Calamari cold salad once that was kind of icky, so it put me off Octopus or Squid dishes. The other 2 sound too hot for me and Cumin is one of the few spices I've never been fond of. I like the color of the squid bag though.

I like the look of the squid chips and the flavour sounds good. I’m not a fan of cumin so the lamb would be a pass for me plus it has heat. It tie goes without saying the numb and spicy would be a pass. Thanks for the review.

If you think about it, a nicely grilled squid is not very fishy especially if it's fresh and the spices are good. This chip represents that!

I can’t tolerate spicy food so I’d pass on all three… but I’d like to try other non spicy foreign flavors…

I just can’t get behind these. One for the heat and the other is the “meat” flavor. Out of the 3 if I had to chose, the lamb would be my choice. Great review.

Don’t know if lays understand the local flavors all over Asia. It can be a hit and miss. It’s like they’re trying so hard to imitate the local cuisine flavors by making a new batch of artificial flavors chips. It’s really an acquired taste. Seafood is extremely popular especially raw meat in South Korea and Japan. You can find whole baby crabs fried and cover in spices packaged as chips in Japanese convenience store as snacks.
