In this lesson, you will learn about the eight diphthongs, how they are produced and their occurrence in words(initially, medially and finally) and also the various spellings that represent the diphthongs.
You will also learn about the main differences between pure vowels (monophthongs) and diphthongs.
Diphthongs are classified into
a) Closing diphthongs and
b) Centring diphthongs
