Revisit my past build of the Tamiya 1/35 scale, 3 channel motorized M1 Abrams Main Battle Tank. Mail call, shop card and channel shoutouts. Below are the channels mentioned in this video. Please enjoy this lengthy but hopefully enjoyable video.

Tamiya used to make a lot more motorized tanks and as a kid they were fun to play with. Many people want the non motorized just for static display. 😊

Hey David. I'm glad to see that Maverick and his Kawasaki arrived in good order; I think they've found a great home or more accurately a carrier deck or Navy airbase next to your lovely F-14 Build. And it was great to see you bring out that 'vintage' Abrams tank and restore it to working order. As a slot car hobbyist, I certainly understand the attraction to models with real working motors! Model on my friend!

Nice shout out. Love Maverick and the bike. I remember the motorized kits. I have a handful in my stash. Most of the Japanese manufactures did it back in the day. Cool tank!!! Thanks for sharing

Have fun with your build. I realized you already downloaded the English instructions from scalemates after I sent you the pdf. You may want to add the wheels after painting the hull since you have to paint the black outer rubber on the road wheels. Also you will get circular patterns on the hull if the wheels are already on.😊

I remember building the 1/35 Tamiya Tiger I with a wired remote control. Still have the instruction sheet but unfortunately do not have the model itself.

Cool video. That was a nice gift of the painted figure and motor cycle! Nice look at your M1A1. That was a cool demonstration of the motorized functions. I have never seen a motorized tank build .. much less in operation. And ... the Pactra Paint .. wow .. that is paint I have not seen in a long time.. Pactra was awesome. Wait until you see some modern Tank kits from Takom, Meng, Rye Field .. they are awesome. But yes, cool build.. that one needs to be out and on display! not in storage! 😃

Thanks Kurt. I love Pactra paint, I think they went the way of acrylic away from enamel. The M1 Abrams is the jewel of my tank builds to date. Have heard the manufacturers you mentioned have incredible interior detail but I think the price of the kit have kept me away. 🙂

Nice video David. Thanks for sharing this. I was on the original M1 Abrams. I am building an M1-A1 by Dragon. The center pins are called guide sprockets.

Hello. New sub sent over by Larry. That Maverick and motorcycle are too cool!! They look great with the plane! Very awesome of him to do that. The abrams looks awesome too. Pretty cool old kit. That remote control aspect is also very cool even with the wires. I have yet to build any armor kits at all, but I am interested. Actually have a Sherman in stash to try my hand at sometime. Nice work on the paint too. Looking forward to what’s next
