You can use q-tip damp with canola oil to remove tape residue on canopies; then wash it with kitchen soap.

Nice job sir. Interesting. I just finish same model from Revell. Different I don't have pilot in my kit, some of decals was different, and I can make decision from 2 bombs class but only one was with colour and decals scheme.

not sure about the canopy at this point but I used warm water and soap with mine and A LOT of gentle rubbing, other than that now I want this kit (thanks another model ) lol

Question about the masking tape included with the kit, shaped like the glass sections. How is it applied, because it doesnt appear that i can peal them off the paper, is it a decal? template?

First of all, this is not an original Tamiya kit, but an old italeri kit, reboxed by Tamiya. Too bad about that canopy. Did you dip it in Future Klear, or something similar ? Next time, just polish the plastic, use dedicated polish or use toothpaste. Works just as well...! ;-) If you have to use Future Klear, let it dry for a LONG time. Several weeks..!! Yes, no kidding. These kind of fluids need time to fully cure. Some tape adhesives contain a substance that doesn't agree well with certain clear coats. I think you should give the following technique a try: mask off the black parts around the clear part. Do NOT mask over the decals. You will most likely pull them off, along with the tape...! First, take a small brush with short bristles and wet it with ammonia. Try to gently wipe away the foggy residue. Stay away from the decals. If ammonia does not work, try some turpentine or white spirit. If these two liquids do not take away the problem and you haven't used a clear coat on the canopy, now is the time to do so. Any type or brand might work. Apply by brush.
