Awesome video as always Glenn. I am now only 5 days away from getting my own Tamiya egress. Very excited. I have a few other cars which I'm using and very happy with, I've got a re-release of both Tamiya Hot Shot and super Hot Shot both with Tamiya super stock RZ motors. The Hotshot is concourse show condition and I don't really run it but the Super Hot Shot is a runner and I use an envision 2S lipo battery and the car is crazy fast. I've got to put a Speedo on to check but the Super Hot Shot backflips. I recently changed from Louise rocket front tires to Schumacher mezzo front and Louise phantom buggy on rear and am very happy with lightening the cars weight and the increased speed and agility. It feels completely different with just a tire change. My other two cars are both kyosho Fazer mk 2 with the 1969 Chevy Camaro body shell. One is a brushed motor G14 L and the other is the brushless VE 1969 Chevy Camaro painted black with white race stripes. Both awesome cars. The brushed frost green Camaro is damn quick for a 15 turn motor and 2 S lipo.ive had a couple crashes with both the Camaro's and want to preserve the beautiful body shells of both these cars.any way I really appreciate your work and professionalism. Your channel is completely awesome.im subscribed and I love my Tamiya RC cars too. I'm just now getting into trouble with my mum for having a few RC cars.but it's my hobby and I live for it. Cool running vid Glenn love the speed runs as much as the track and gravel runs.I don't have an egress, avante chassis and waiting for regular post to resume so I can get my vanquish car from overseas. So there's no Tamiya speed gear set for these cars then, it seems weird with them angled to racing at the time don't you think .

that was awesome to watch glen 80km/h - WOW thats Cool, im just finishing the 911 gt1 Porsche street put a 10T Brushless in it see what it will go like , will be taking it easy at first only run the nimh batt 7.2 then may go to the 7.4 2S and then see about 3S , i dont want to destroy the diff or strip out anything so ill be a little excited in doing this as never done anything like this , got to admit its a little more fun than i expected to be honest :-) cheers bud

Tamiya should definitely do a version of this TRF Egress, it way better than the black special style of the Avante.

Just an educated guess here, the top force with that cheese wedge and massive angle on the rear wing has a massive drag and downforce. The egress is a much more streamlined body and less angle of attack on the rear wing making the difference bigger on 2s and 3s.
