Ok so I wondered why I was having steering issues??? Then after watching you put a second lot of bearings on before attaching wheel hubs I referred back to the manual and guess what I didn’t do??? And then looking back in box saw four spare bearings 😡😡😡 what a stupid rush arse I am !!! We live and I certainly learn from Mr Rob !!! I bet when I run my tt02b it suddenly won’t have steering issues lol Thanks for your uploads from the 54 yr old half wit …

Hi Cat. I did exactly the same thing when building my DF-02 Aero Avante. The problem though was I was with Mark and Alf when we discovered the issue lol. But on the plus side I bet you will never do that again lol. Many thanks and all the best my friend.

I definitely won’t mate lol and would you believe it after putting in bearings it is still pulling to the right under acceleration??? Back to the drawing board 😡

Core 9016 servo hpi 15t, 20t pinion 65t high speed gear, waterproof hobbywing esc is just some of the setup with mine and I've painted the underside of the spoiler matte black along with the inside of the body as well and it's come up with quite good results. I'll see what I can do about a video. I'll kept the driveshafts standard for now along with the abs but I've put a Tamiya shaft Tamiya connectors to the gearboxes.

Hi Rob, niiiiiiice build vid. Yeah, have to agree, slightly heavier oil, and heavier rear springs. Keep the pre load to a minimum. That’s a funny looking word lol 😂. 😎👍👍👍🇬🇧

Cheers Mikey. Although it's soft it still looks to handle really well. But I am going to try some longer springs I found off my Lunchbox to see what they do.

I got a couple days of crap weather, so I think I'll start assemble mine today and then probably paint the body in the weekend... Your videos definitely make me want to get started!

Cheers Steve. They already have the thickest oil I have 1100CST so I may have a look to see if I have another springs that will fit and try them, but honestly after running it it handles the rough ground of our overgrown track very well.

Well done Mate!! Chassis finished! 👌👍👍💯 With regard to Servo Savers.... NEVER use them. Except for the Kimborough Servo Savers. The Tamiya ones especially, are the biggest source of SLOP!! However - on Buggies, I reckon it's absolutely necessary, because the Front Wheels are SO exposed. If you have it, I'd strongly recommend either 800 or 900wt Oil in the Rear Shocks... I'm surprised that Tamiya actually included Springs that are too SOFT. Typically they're WAY TOO stiff! Did you feel odd, fitting Tyres in that manner?? 😲 I understand that you're following the Manual for the benefit of the less experienced, but it just looked ODD. 😜 Also, I've been remiss in mentioning, I like the Industrial sound effects when you're working!! Clever and humourous! I like to bring that stuff up, because it's part of the work we put into our Videos.... I just designed an entirely new Intro on my last Video, that absolutely NOBODY noticed! 😲😞 I guess it's OK, I'm happier that some People mentioned the Song that I wrote for my Denise.... It was melancholy, and also a risk to include a Ballad.... So the Body... The Windows were Painted OVER by Tamiya, right? 😖 Were you planning on doing anything about it, or just fitting black Window Decals and calling it a Day?? It should look good regardless. Cheers 🍻 Mate, and stay SAFE! 😷 Carmine ✈🚂🚙

BTW (and I seem to have too much to say today!!), on my TT-02, I've decided on a different direction. It will be going full stop, On-Road Car!! A Friend is sending me a Yeah Racing Aluminum Ball Raced Steering Bellcrank Kit!!! That somehow has changed my mind from building it as a Buggy! Although next year, I'm planning on getting a TT-02B, and doing it RIGHT!! 😊

Thanks Carmine. I must admit I don't like these Tamiya black ones at all but have no choice at the moment. The front has 900 and the rear 1100. Just found some longer springs off my Lunchbox so have stuck them on see what happens. IT wasn't too bad as I've done it before especially on buggy wheels. When I got into RC I got blisters on my thumbs when fitting the Thunder Dragon tyres (the rubber was so hard hehe) Those came with my editing software so thought it would be a change from music, glad you liked it hehe. Yes really liked it but didn't notice on the first one as honestly I was rather distracted by having to sort out my crashed YT disk, almost lost 1.2TB of videos but I think I have restored them now. Yep the body was pre-cut and painted. I might look at cutting them out at some point but don't have any spare drivers at the moment so window stickers it is for now. That is cool watched your vid earlier. Here's hoping you can get a body and a new chassis sooner rather than later. All the best mate.

Great work, Rob! Good to see the chassis completed! This video is nice and bright, have you got some new lights? Very easy to see what's going on. Another detailed and informative build my mate, good you left the cock-up in - we all make 'em! Thumbs up and hope to see ya soon dude! :))

Hay dude. Cheers mate. No new lights, think I must have remembered to brighten it in the editor hehe. Yeah and at least it didn't take too long to correct. Maybe get together over the weekend (as well still seem to be able to meet up outside in public places)

Same thing happened to me. After completed I noticed the rear suspension was too soft. I added some spacers but in the future I will change to thicker oil.

Hi, Rob! And thank you for that video. It’s always so nice to follow your builds. I agree with you on the motor cover. For the tires, you didn’t want to add foam? I know he doesn’t have any in the kit but I was thinking that the tensile effect might be more important with a foam inside. I can’t wait to see your work with the body, this TT-02B looks like he’s keeping his promises. I hope you’re all right. Keep up the good work. Take care mon ami.
@robbrennanrc
@robbrennanrc 4 жыл бұрын
Your are very welcome Alex. The problem at the moment is finding parts in stock, but I do have several buggies that run fine without foam so don't normally add them as an upgrade. Just need to add the stickers on the body so it was a lot quicker. I may at some point though consider cutting out the windows so I can install a driver. Many thanks for following the series mon ami and have a great weekend.
